Hazardous Work Sample Clauses

Hazardous Work. The Producer may not require any performer to do stunt or hazardous work without first obtaining, from that performer, express written consent prior to the commencement of the performer's services in the Short Film. The Producer will fully discuss the physical requirements of the role at the time of audition or interview. The Producer must notify the Union of hazardous or stunt activity and the day on which such activity will occur. The Producer must provide a safety expert who must be present and available for consultation at the place of such activity. An animal handler or qualified trainer must be provided when Producer requires a performer to work with animals.
Hazardous Work. The employee selected to perform hazardous work and Producer are to negotiate and agree upon a rate in advance for such work and, if no agreement is so reached, the employee will not jeopardize working opportunities by refusing to perform work that is considered hazardous. The employee may request the assistance of the Business Representative of the Union in such negotiations. When an employee covered by this Agreement is working in close proximity and is exposed to the same hazard with the same degree of risk to which another employee covered by the Basic Agreement is exposed who has negotiated a hazardous pay adjustment, the employee covered by this Agreement is entitled to that same hazard pay adjustment. In all other hazardous work situations, the amount of such adjustment shall be the subject of individual negotiations. If an employee is required to sign a waiver due to hazardous conditions for any state or governmental agency or owner of private property and refuses to sign such waiver, such employee may be replaced, but such refusal shall not limit such employee's future employment opportunities with Producer. When Producer knows in advance that such a waiver is required, Producer will advise the Union of the situation.
Hazardous Work. (a) Employees hereunder shall not be required to jeopardize their working opportunities by having to perform work that is considered hazardous. (b) The following allowances shall be paid if an employee hereunder does, however, agree to perform services while on aerial flights, space flights, submarine diving, or working in combat zones: $100 for each flight or dive or incident. In the event work is performed under any of the above circumstances, the Employer shall cover the employee, for the duration of the assignment, with a personal accident insurance policy, insuring against death and/or dismemberment in the amount of $100,000 payable to the beneficiary designated by the employee, and providing for a weekly indemnity of $1,000 in the event of total disability, as such term is commonly understood in the insurance field, for a period of fifty-two (52) weeks. (c) The Employer shall provide suitable wearing apparel for abnormally cold or wet work.
Hazardous Work. If Employer requires dancing in costuming which by virtue of its fit or nature may subject the dancer to physical injury or health hazard, or if Employer requires “wire flying,” it shall be deemed to be hazardous work and shall be subject to the “dancer’s premium paymentadditional pay of $92.25 (effective 11/8/24, $99.25) per day.
Hazardous Work. A. If Employer requires Background Actors to do night work, “wet” work, or work of a rough or dangerous character, the Employer shall notify the Background Actors at the time of the call. If Employer fails to provide timely notification, the Background Actor shall be entitled to refuse to perform the work. If the Background Actor refuses, Employer shall pay them for all time elapsed from the time the Background Actor is called until they are dismissed. Employer shall not discriminate against any Background Actor for exercising their rights under this paragraph. B. Background Actors who are hired at scale, and who thereafter accept hazardous work, shall be entitled to additional compensation in an amount to be agreed between the Background Actor and the Employer (or the Employer representative). The parties shall agree to the amount of additional compensation prior to the Background Actor performing the hazardous work. C. Employer shall not hire anyone other than a Qualified Professional Background Actors to perform hazardous Background Actor work under this agreement. No stunt person hired as such may be employed for Background Actor work on location except for bona fide emergencies not within the contemplation of the Employer. No stunt person hired as such may be employed for Background Actor work at the studio on the day he/she was employed as a stunt person on the same production. Upon a written request from SAG-AFTRA, the Employer will submit a report to SAG-AFTRA indicating whether any stunt persons have been employed on a particular Program. Upon the written request of SAG-AFTRA, the Employer shall also furnish a copy of the script involved and make recordings available to SAG-AFTRA for viewing. D. For violation of this Section, Employer shall pay to SAG-AFTRA the following liquidated damages per person per day: $215.00 for the first violation $350.00 for the second and each succeeding violation Liquidated damages shall not apply if there is a bona fide dispute as to whether the work is “Background Actor work” or “Stunt work.”
Hazardous Work. Where the Xxxxxxx decides there is a hazard to the safety of the employee, then two (2) men shall constitute a crew for the particular work situation, and these employees shall be paid at double time for a minimum of not less than one (1) hour, for any time spent in performing the hazardous work.
Hazardous Work. (a) Where a claim is made that work is hazardous, determination of the question shall be left to the Chief Engineer or Management Representative and Shop Xxxxxxx of the building and, in the event they fail to agree, the matter shall be determined through the grievance and arbitration procedures. The Union and the RAB shall appoint an equal number of representatives, between six (6) and ten (10) in total, to a Labor Management Committee, which shall be known as the "Industrial Safety Committee."
Hazardous Work. A. Whenever a Member believes they have been instructed to perform work under hazardous conditions, such person shall have the right to discuss their concerns with the supervisor. After such a meeting, if the Member still contends the job to be performed is hazardous, the Member shall immediately notify the Safety Officer regarding the situation. The Safety Officer will make a determination regarding the Member's contention and make a ruling. B. If a Member believes a danger that threatens physical harm, or if an “imminent danger” hazard exists, the Member shall not be required to perform the work in question at the site in question and may be reassigned until the Superintendent or designee has made a determination. The Member may contact the Safety Officer directly under these circumstances. C. The District shall make Safety Concern forms available. In the event the Member becomes aware of an unsafe condition the Member shall notify the Member’s immediate supervisor promptly. The Member will complete a Safety Concern form to submit to the supervisor and/or Safety Committee Representative for their site. D. The District will attempt to keep Members informed of determinations made by the District regarding Members’ safety concerns. The District shall report all safety concerns and resulting determinations to the Safety Committee.

Hazardous Work. Employees may refuse to perform extremely hazardous jobs until a written determination is made by a member of the Company’s Safety Office that necessary precautions are being observed.
