Hour Shift Employees. If an eight (8) hour shift employee is scheduled to work more than nine and one- half (9 ½) continuous hours, the Company will provide a meal if requested. A second meal, if requested, will be provided if the employee works more than thirteen and one-half (13 ½) continuous hours. Meals will be provided if an employee is called into work on such short notice that the employee is unable to provide their own meal.
Hour Shift Employees. (i) A relief employee will not be scheduled to work in excess of four (4) consecutive twelve hour shifts with the exception of one P-Day and pay average will be 76 hours per pay based on the 38 hour work week. In addition, hours over 1976 per year will be considered as distributable overtime. Overtime
Hour Shift Employees. (i) When a holiday falls during a 12 hour shift employee’s vacation, the employee will be paid their holiday allowance in addition to their vacation pay. Holiday allowance shall equal eight (8) hours pay at straight time.
Hour Shift Employees. The consecutive regularly scheduled twenty four (24) hour periods to which each employee is entitled and shall be as per the cohesive shift schedule.

Hour Shift Employees. (i) The above applies to those employees working on a continuous twenty-four (24) hour rotation.
Hour Shift Employees. In the case of a death in the immediate family, the employee shall be entitled to 24 hours off with pay. These hours may be taken immediately after the death or at the time of the funeral, but in either case they must be taken consecutively. If the death occurs while the employee is on duty, the employee shall also be entitled to the rest of the workday off with pay.

Vacations shall be scheduled from the beginning of the first Xxxxx Xxx cycle that starts after December 31st of any given year until the end of the Xxxxx xxx cycle that includes December 31st, one (1) year later. The department shall make known the exact starting and ending dates, for the vacation cycle, each year prior to vacation picks. The County shall determine the number of employees who can be off on vacation at any time throughout the year by using the following method based on the maximum possible number of vacation days earned annually. The total number of battalion personnel shall be multiplied by twelve (12). This number is then divided by the total number of shifts within the annual vacation cycle (excluding Xxxxx Days) and then rounded up to next whole number if ≥.5 (example: total battalion personnel times 12, divided by 121, rounded up to next whole number if ≥.5. For the ranks of Battalion Chief and EMS Captain, there shall be no less than two (2) slots, in each rank, for the first two (2) rounds of vacation election. In 3rd round vacation selections, there shall be no more than three (3) persons allowed off including vacation and Xxxxx days. Employees may not schedule vacation time off in excess of their anticipated available accruals including existing banks.
