HOURS OF WORK/WORK SCHEDULE. On days that school is in session, the PSLO shall work eight and one-half hours from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The PSLO shall endeavor to be on the high school campus by 8:15 a.m. and remain on campus until 3:45 p.m. When school is not in session, work hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hours worked over eight (8) hours per day shall be considered overtime and will be funded 100% by the School District. Any modification from the schedule must have prior approval of the Lieutenant of Police or designee or High School Principal or designee. In the event of an emergency, the above individuals must be notified as soon as possible.

HOURS OF WORK/WORK SCHEDULE. Individual work schedules are defined as the number of hours worked per day and the number of days worked in a work cycle. The overall work day shall be defined as a seven and one-half (7.5) hour period of time from 7:00 a.m. up to and including 6:59 a.m. the following day. Operations permitting, employees will be granted an unpaid meal period not to exceed thirty (30) minutes within their regularly scheduled shift. Employees must have supervisory approval to work through their meal period. In accordance with University policy, the department will attempt to provide a fifteen (15) minute paid rest period during each four (4) hour period of work. Employees approved by their supervisor to work through the unpaid meal period shall be paid thirty (30) minutes of straight time. Working through a meal period shall not be used to accrue hours toward overtime. Each year, the Chief of Police will present a shift schedule. The shift schedule shall remain in effect for the duration of the yearly bid period unless urgent circumstances require changes. In the event the department establishes more than one (1) shift schedule, a bid process will be implemented in accordance with the following: Employees shall bid annually to a shift, based on seniority within the Security Guard classification. Yearly bid positions will be defined on the basis of seniority requirements, thereby equally distributing the overall experience level across all shifts. Bid meetings will be held at least thirty

  • – HOURS OF WORK & SCHEDULING 15.01 The normal hours of work for an employee are not a guarantee of work per day or per week, or a guarantee of days of work per week. The normal hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours per day, and seventy-five (75) hours in any bi-weekly period. 15.02 The normal daily shift shall consist of seven and one-half (7½) consecutive hours, exclusive of a one-half (½) hour unpaid meal period. Employees shall be entitled to a fifteen (15) minute paid break during each half of the normal daily shift, at a time designated by the Employer. 15.03 Employees required for reporting purposes shall remain at work for a period of up to fifteen (15) minutes which shall be unpaid. Should the reporting time extend beyond fifteen (15) minutes however, the entire period shall be considered overtime for the purposes of payment. 15.04 Requests for change in posted work schedules must be submitted in writing and co-signed by the employee willing to exchange days off or shifts and are subject to the discretion of the Administrator or her designate. In any event, it is understood that such a change initiated by the employee and approved by the Employer shall not result in overtime compensation or payment or any other claims on the Employer by any employee under the terms of this Agreement. 15.05 Where there is a change to Daylight Savings from Standard Time or vice-versa, an employee who is scheduled and works a full shift shall be paid for a seven and one-half (7½) hour shift rather than the actual hours worked. 15.06 In the event that a meal period is interrupted requiring an employee to attend to a work related problem, then the balance of the unused meal period will be taken within two (2) hours of the interruption. If the employee is unable to reschedule such time, she shall be paid time and one-half (1½) her regular straight time hourly rate for all time worked in excess of her normal daily hours, in accordance with Article 16.01.

  • HOURS OF WORK i) Where employees are now working a longer daily tour, the provisions set out in this Article governing the regular hours of work on a daily tour shall be adjusted accordingly. ii) The normal daily extended tour shall be 11.25 consecutive hours in any 24-hour period, exclusive of a total of forty-five (45) minutes of unpaid meal time. For hybrid schedules, there will be scheduled normal daily tours of seven and one-half (7½) hours and 11.25 consecutive hours per day. iii) Employees working an extended tour shall be entitled, subject to the exigencies of resident care, to paid relief periods during the tour of a total of forty-five (45) minutes. For hybrid schedules, there will also be shifts that provide for relief periods in accordance with Article 15.02. iv) Scheduling issues will be resolved at the local level. v) Where the union and the employer have agreed to or agree to an extended daily tour or hybrid schedule that differs from the normal daily extended tour, the proportion of unpaid time to hours of work shall maintain the same ratio as set out in paragraph ii) and iii) of this Article.

  • HOURS OF WORK & OVERTIME Section 15.1 This Article is intended to define the normal hours of work per day or per week in effect at the time of execution of this Agreement. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as preventing the Employer from restructuring the normal workday or workweek as necessary to promote efficiency or improve services, or from establishing the work schedules of employees. However, nothing in this Section shall relieve the Employer of its duty to bargain the affects of such decisions on employee wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment. This Article shall be used as the basis for computing overtime for employees who are not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week. Section 15.2 Employees may take one paid fifteen (15) minute break for every four (4) hour block worked. Employees may combine breaks to take up to one (1) sixty (60) minute paid break. Employees may not leave campus on their paid breaks. Section 15.3 Bargaining unit employees who are not exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act will be paid one and one-half times their normal hourly rate for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work week. All overtime shall have prior supervisory approval, except when it is necessary for a nurse to remain on duty to protect patient safety. Only hours actually worked are counted for the purpose of computing an employee's eligibility for overtime pay. There shall be no pyramiding of hours or pay. Section 15.4 The Board serves individuals 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. To meet this need for service to our individuals evening and weekend hours may be required of any bargaining unit employee. The Employer will establish the standard work day as beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 5:59 a.m. and starting and ending times for each shift in each department. Supervisors will establish daily workschedules. Section 15.5 Absent an emergency situation, management will notify the Union in the event management intends to institute a long-term change in the present shift times for nurses. Following notification and upon request by the Union, management will meet with the Union to discuss the reason for the change and possible alternatives.

  • Ordinary Hours of Work The ordinary hours of work will be worked any time between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Ordinary hours of work may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority of the employees concerned and the ETU State Secretary (via the relevant full time ETU Official) to accommodate the hours or work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer and the requirements of its client. Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail.   • HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME ‌ 15:01 The hours of work shall be eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours per week, in accordance with the regular shift schedule, provided that this shall not constitute a guarantee of hours of work per day or of days of work per week. Where alternative shifts are implemented the hours of work shall be eighty (80) hours per pay period, in accordance with the regular shift schedule, provided that this shall not constitute a guarantee of hours of work per day or of days of work per week. 15:02 Authorized overtime work performed in excess of the standard work week or the standard work day will be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1½) times the regular hourly rate. In the case of employees working alternative shifts, authorized overtime is work performed in excess of their standard work day or eighty (80) hours per pay period and will be paid at time and one-half (1 ½) times the regular rate of pay. 15:03 Overtime work shall be distributed as equitably as practicable amongst employees performing work in the same classification at the same location. For overtime distribution same location means UTM and UTSC autonomously. At the St. Xxxxxx campus, same location means: Southwest area, Southeast area, North area, Central area and Steam Plant autonomously. Employees who are requested to work any overtime and decline shall be considered to have worked for the purpose of establishing records on overtime distribution. Employees who are unavailable to work any overtime because they are on supervisor approved vacation, supervisor approved bereavement, supervisor approved Health & Safety business, supervisor approved University business, or Union release for Union business shall not be considered to have worked for the purpose of establishing records on overtime distribution. An overtime list will be updated and posted weekly in each area. 15:04 All engineers who work on a regularly scheduled short shift change with less than two (2) shifts of rest in a twenty-four (24) hour period between a change in shift shall be paid at regular overtime rates for all hours worked from the commencement of the second shift. This clause shall not apply where an employee has received payment for said hours under clauses 15:02, 15:05, or 15:07. Where alternative shifts are implemented this will not apply. 15:05 All employees shall be allowed thirty (30) minutes without pay at a time designated by the Employer for a lunch period. Employees will be available for emergency work during their lunch period. 15:06 Any employee who has completed their regular shift and is recalled to work shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at the overtime rate or the number of hours worked, whichever is greater. A recall is defined as a return to work, which begins outside the regularly scheduled shift. 15:07 Work schedules will be provided with consecutive days off unless circumstances arise which are beyond the Employer’s control. 15:08 An employee who has completed their regular shift and is contacted outside of the workplace by an authorized person about business matters concerning the plant shall be paid one and one-half (1½) hours pay for each such matter, provided they are not required to report for duty on a recall or provided they are not required to report on the job site. 15:09 With the consent of the Supervisor or Chief Engineer, an employee may have another employee relieve them on their regular shift. In such cases, however, overtime will not be paid to the relieving employee.

(a) Any employee who is working a permanent shift as of December 31, 1996 shall not be transferred to another shift without their consent.   • Work Schedule (A) Where an employee has an established schedule, a change in workdays or shifts will be posted no less than 14 calendar days in advance and will reflect at least a two workweek schedule; however, the state will make a good faith effort to reflect a one month schedule. (B) In the event of a declared emergency the notice requirement of this Section may be void. (C) The state will continue to observe the scheduling structures currently in place at each agency and agrees to bargain any change in the overall practice of how schedules are established.
