Inclement Weather Policy. The Chairperson of the Board has the sole authority to declare an inclement weather day. If an inclement weather day is declared, compensation will be provided to full-time employees, only, as follows:
A. An employee may choose to use one (1) day from his/her accumulated Annual Leave Bank, if available, or
B. The employee may choose to use his/her Personal Day(s) from his/her accumulated Sick Leave Bank, if available.
C. A full-time employee who is ineligible for either of the above, may borrow against a future Annual Leave Day and/or future Personal Day that would normally accrue to him/her within a ninety (90) day period of time.
D. Employees who terminate their County employment and who are ineligible for Annual Leave and/or Sick Leave usage, and who receive compensation under this policy, shall have such compensation deducted from any accumulated and withheld monies due them at time of termination.
Inclement Weather Policy. The rain policy for golf outings states that outings may be rescheduled if the golf course is officially closed. Except in the case of widespread extremely inclement weather, your guests should be asked to come to the golf course. Our superintendent will make a determination of playability. If the event can be held safely in reasonable comfort, it will be played. Our busy calendar makes it difficult to reschedule. We will make every effort to reach a fair determination of how to proceed.

On days with extreme weather the walks may be shortened to ensure the safety of our dogs and walkers. However, due to the risks associated with walking dogs in extreme conditions, rates are not changed due to shortened walks. A. When severe conditions occur before working hours the Executive Director will determine a two (2) hour delay or office closure with paid leave.
