Individual Employee Contracts. Individual contracts or employment agreements will conform to state laws and regulations and will be consistent with the terms of this agreement. If any such individual contracts or employment agreements are in conflict with the terms and conditions of this agreement, the terms and conditions of this agreement will be controlling during the term of this agreement.

Individual Employee Contracts. Each employee in the EEA Bargaining Unit shall be issued a contract, by the District, with the assignment and salary indicated therein, in conformity with Washington State Law, State Board of Education, and this Agreement; however, employees hired by the District to replace employees who have been granted official District leaves shall be employed in accordance with 28A.405.900 RCW, shall be properly placed on the salary schedule; shall receive full fringe benefits; and, upon application for regular contract status, shall receive appropriate consideration. The length of an assigned employee's contract shall be in accordance with the calendar section of the Agreement. Any extension of contract days shall be computed on per diem of that individual's contracted rate of pay. Two (2) copies of the contract signed by the Superintendent and Board President shall be mailed to the employee each year for signature. The contract must be signed and returned to the District within two (2) calendar weeks from the date of issue. One (1) copy is retained by the employee at the time of signing. One (1) copy is forwarded to the Personnel Office. This copy is then placed in the employee's personnel file in the Personnel Office. An employee under contract shall be released from the obligation of the contract upon request under the following conditions: a. A letter of resignation must be submitted to the Superintendent's Office. b. A release from contract, prior to July 1, shall be granted provided a letter of resignation is submitted to the Superintendent's office. c. A release from contract shall be granted after July 1 provided that a satisfactory replacement can be obtained. A release from contract may be granted after this date, on a case-by-case basis, based upon extenuating circumstances. d. A release from contract shall be granted in case of illness or other personal matters which make it impossible for the employee to continue in the District. e. The District shall provide the Association by September 15 a listing of all one-year only contracts and the number of staff on leave categorized by assignment. Monthly updates will be available.
Individual Employee Contracts. Any individual contract between the school district and an individual employee, heretofore or hereafter executed, shall be subject to and consistent with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If an individual contract contains any language inconsistent with this Agreement, this Agreement, during its duration, shall be controlling. Each individual employee contract shall be executed on behalf of the school district as required by law.
Individual Employee Contracts. Employee contracts will be prepared using forms included in Appendix 1. During the effective period of the employment contract, absent circumstances beyond the employee’s control or an emergency, an employee will not be released from the obligation of the contract until the District determines a satisfactory replacement can be obtained. An employee who has signed and returned a contract for the ensuing school year shall be released from the obligation of the contract upon request under the following circumstances: • Written notice of resignation is received in the Human Resources office on or before the last working day of June, or • Written notice of resignation is received in the Human Resources office after the last working day of June and when the District determines a satisfactory replacement can be obtained.

Individual Employee Contracts. The Employer shall issue to each employee a contract as provided in Appendix A. All teaching assignments shall be indicated therein and in conformity with the Washington State Law, State Board of Education regulation, and this Agreement. A rider shall be attached to all individual contracts issued while negotiations are in progress stating that benefits agreed to will be retroactive to the opening day of school.

The Employer shall have a written contract with each certificated employee and it shall be in conformity with the terms andconditions of this Agreement; and will include FTE, number of days, salary and other pertinent employment data. 2. If an employee has signed a contract with the District, the employee shall request release from the District before signing a contract with a different school district. Requests by employees for release from contract for the following school year will be considered by the District in light of its ability to obtain a suitable replacement and the reasons given by the employee requesting release from contract.
