Infectious Disease Prevention. Contractors must:  Establish infectious disease prevention policies and procedures in accordance with local health department guidelines or OSPI “Infectious Disease Control Guide for School Staff (D-3).”  Follow universal precautions for prevention of transmission of blood borne pathogens.  Ensure that staff, volunteers, and children wash their hands with soap and warm water upon arrival at the classroom, after returning from outdoor play, before eating, after using the toilet, after touching body fluids, and after touching animals.  Have sufficient, clean, child-accessible toilets and hand-washing facilities.  Report communicable diseases according to local requirements. Contractors must:  Comply with WAC 246-215 and WAC 246-217 at locations where food is prepared, stored, and served. Family child care homes are exempt.  Staff each classroom with at least one person with a food worker card present at all times. This person must provide ongoing training and oversight to all staff involved in food handling, meal and snack times, and food activities. (C-21).  Ensure staff wash hands before putting on food service gloves, before food preparation, after handling raw meat, after restroom use, and after touching any unclean item.  Prepare food in an area separate from toilet and child hand-washing facilities.  Clean and sanitize surfaces used for food preparation and eating before and after each snack or meal.  Use food service gloves or utensils to avoid bare hand contact with food.  Ensure that staff who are ill do not work in or around food preparation or service areas.  Ensure that children are carefully supervised when helping with food preparation.

Infectious Disease Prevention. ‌ (a) The parties share a desire to prevent exposure to infectious diseases that are identified in the workplace that pose a risk to workers. (b) When the Employer becomes aware of infectious diseases in the work area, the Employer will inform workers of the possible risk. (c) The Employer shall provide education/training as appropriate, to address measures that can be taken to prevent exposure. (d) The Employer shall make appropriate vaccinations available to employees who are identified to be at risk of exposure in the workplace. (e) When an employee acquires an infectious disease that potentially was acquired out of and in the course of employment, it will be reported and investigated through the process identified in Clause 22.7.
Infectious Disease Prevention. The Employer shall furnish equipment and provide training and procedures necessary to protect Employees from exposures to infectious diseases which may occur in the course of their official duties, as required by law. In addition the Employer shall maintain a program furnishing inoculations on a voluntary basis for all Employees for Hepatitis B.
Infectious Disease Prevention. Each employee will be provided with and utilize all personal protective equipment as required for infectious disease exposure which meets or exceeds the minimum standards established by the State Department of Health for the prevention of infectious diseases. Likewise, the City and the employee, whenever practical, will follow the required prophylactic procedures established with regard to any employee who is exposed to blood, other body fluids or infectious diseases. The City will provide training as required in infectious disease prevention, mitigation and exposure control.

The District will follow CDPH school directives with respect to requiring masks or face xxxxxxx at all times. c. The District will instruct all students about proper handwashing techniques, mask wearing, social distancing, and other best practices for prevention of the spread of coronavirus. d. The District will ensure that there are adequate hand-washing stations (whether in restrooms or otherwise) for all students, and that these stations are stocked with soap and hygienic (single-use) towels. When requested by staff, paper towels will be provided in the restroom. e. The District will adhere to all CDPH directives regarding the following measures to mitigate exposure to COVID-19 and will notify CSEA of its decisions (and upon request, negotiate any effects on employees): i. One-way hallways; ii. Limits on number of students in classrooms or other spaces; iii. Scheduling changes, to reduce the number of students on campus at any given time; 1. To the extent possible, attempt to create smaller student and educator cohorts to minimize the mixing of student groups throughout the day; iv. Minimize movement of students and educators or staff as much as possible.
Infectious Disease Prevention. The District will follow the most recent CDPH Higher Education guidance with respect to requiring masks or for all individuals at any district facility. The District recognizes its responsibility to ensure mask or face-shield use per CDPH guidance in order to protect the health of students, employees, and the community. The District will designate at least one person per campus to whom violations of mask-wearing requirements can be reported. The District will not require bargaining-unit employees to work when one or more individuals is near them without wearing a mask. The District will ensure that there are adequate hand-washing stations (whether in restrooms or otherwise) for all staff, and that these stations are stocked with soap and hygienic (single-use) towels. Staff are to be given adequate time to wash hands and are to be trained on proper hand washing. In addition to hand-washing stations, the District will ensure fragrance-free hand sanitizer (with a minimum of 60 percent alcohol, but not containing methanol) is readily available to employees. The District will provide appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff. The District shall comply with CDPH guidance for students and staff appropriate for each classification or duty, relevant to Cal/OSHA requirements. The District will notify CSEA if, due to supply issues, it cannot provide adequate PPE, and the parties will promptly negotiate the effects of such shortage. The District will take measures to increase natural-air circulation in indoor spaces where staff may be present, including opening windows as weather permits. For mechanically ventilated buildings, the District will improve filtration to MERV 13, where practicable, in addition to instituting all feasible measures to monitor and increase outdoor ventilation.

Infectious Disease Prevention. The Town and the Union recognize that communicable disease exposure is an occupational health hazard. Communicable disease transmission is possible during any aspect of emergency response including in-station operations. The health and welfare of each member is a joint concern of the Town and the Union. While each member is ultimately responsible for his or her own health, the Town recognizes a responsibility to provide as safe a workplace as possible. The mutual goal is to provide all members with the best available protection from occupationally acquired communicable disease. The Town and the Union commit to begin efforts to implement an Infectious Disease Prevention Program immediately with the input of the Safety Committee as described in Article 5.
Infectious Disease Prevention i) The District shall require the use of face coverings for all persons over the age of 2 who enter District facilities except for medical exemptions. The District agrees to adopt the CDE recommendations as to access by parents, students and other persons not on school staff, which state, at a minimum, face coverings should be worn: I. While leaving District sites ii) The District shall provide a minimum of two cloth face coverings plus two disposable face coverings initially for each unit member before they are asked to work at a site or district location. iii) The District shall provide face xxxxxxx to unit members upon request. Face xxxxxxx should be worn with a face covering or with a cloth drape across the bottom and secured (i.e. tucked into shirt, tied around back of neck). iv) Unit members shall bring District provided face coverings. The District shall provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) to bargaining unit members such as gloves, eye protection, aprons, gowns, and coveralls as needed. The District shall provide sufficient protective equipment to comply with CDPH guidance for students and staff appropriate for each classification or duty, relevant to Cal/OSHA requirements. The District shall implement a plan for ongoing supply of protective equipment. v) The District agrees to provide other protective equipment, as appropriate for work assignments, including but not limited to as follows: I. For front office staff: vi) Face coverings and disposable gloves

(f) The Home Office Occupational Health and Safety Committee will review and make recommendations to the Employer on prevention/exposure protocols, education/training and protective equipment and clothing.
