Innovative Shifts. The Parties to this agreement acknowledge the value of creating new and innovative approaches to varied shift lengths and rotations. To that end the Parties agree to encourage individual Nurses, groups of Nurses, and Managers to explore any and all options including such things as Nurses returning after retirement, varied shift lengths, reduced hours and new shift rotations.
Innovative Shifts. If, during the term of this agreement, the Employer (Clallam County Public Hospital District No.1) plans to implement any innovative shifts, the Union will be notified in advance in writing and the Employer shall bargain with the Union upon written request from the Union pertaining to any such innovative shift.
Innovative Shifts. Innovative shifts of ten (10) and twelve (12) hour duration will be compensated for including shift differential for the hours worked within that shift (i.e. 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., receives eight (8) hours at day rate and four (4) hours at the evening rate). Nurses working a ten (10) or a twelve (12) hour shift with a majority of hours worked on the night shift shall receive night shift differential for all hours worked.
Innovative Shifts. The parties agree the Employer may maintain all schedule shifts of variable lengths (other than 8, 10, and 12) that exist on ratification. If new positions of variable length are desired, the Employer agrees to provide the Union with seven (7) days advance notice and bargain upon request.

Innovative Shifts. In the event an employee that works a ten (10) hour shift is required to work with less than ten (10) hours off duty between shifts, all time worked within this ten (10) hour period shall be paid at time and one-half (1 1/2). Rest between shifts does not apply to employees that work twelve
Innovative Shifts. When mutually agreeable in writing to the Employer and nurse, a standard work day may consist of ten (10) hours when the work week scheduled is based on four (4) ten (10) hour days or twelve (12) hours when the work week does not exceed forty hours as defined above. Other innovative work schedules may be established by the employer with the consent of the nurse involved and notification to the local unit chairperson and the Association within five working days of the Agreement. The maximum benefits allowed by such innovative schedules shall be in accordance with the written agreement between the Employer and nurse in relation to the individual nurse’s worked FTE allocation up to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per two-week period. Nurses working six-12 hour shifts (72 hours) per pay period are considered full-time nurses and receive full-time benefits except that sick leave and vacation time shall be calculated on the actual hours worked up to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per two-week work period. Nurses who work at least one (1) innovative shift during the course of a pay period shall be considered full-time and receive full-time benefits if they work at least 0.9 FTE or greater.
Innovative Shifts. Innovative individual work schedules may be established by the Employer with thirty (30) days’ notice to the employee. Upon request, the Employer and the Union will meet prior to the implementation of the new schedule for the purpose of discussing the impacts of the new schedule. No meeting will be required in the event a qualified employee volunteers to work the innovative schedule.
Innovative Shifts. Innovative work schedules may be established by the Employer with the consent of the employee involved. In such instances, a written agreement between the nurse and the Hospital with a copy to the Union shall detail any agreed upon innovative work schedule. If an innovative work schedule is established, overtime shall be paid after the normal work day for that innovative work schedule. Where work schedules other than eight (8) hour day schedule are utilized, the Employer and/or employee shall have the right to revert back to the eight (8) hour day schedule or the work schedule which was effective immediately prior to an innovative work schedule, if that shift is still available, after at least four (4) weeks' advance notice.
Innovative Shifts. When the Employer determines it necessary to implement innovative shifts, the Employer will provide reasonable notice to affected employees.
