Living Allowance. Members will receive a monthly living allowance. Official pay dates are the 5th and the 20th of each month. Members are required to have their living allowance direct-deposited into their checking or savings account. The first payment will always be in the form of a paper check sent to the Member’s mailing address on file. If the pay date falls on a weekend, the living allowance will be deposited the Friday before.
1. If using direct deposit will cause a hardship for the Member, an exception may be requested for consideration from WSC. Approval of this request is at the sole discretion of WSC. Members with an exception officially pre-approved by the WSC may receive a check. If a check is lost in the mail or stolen, the Member should contact their Project Site Staff and ask them to notify WSC immediately. The WSC will initiate the process to have a replacement check issued. This may take up to 30 business days.
2. Even though the AmeriCorps Member is not in an employee relationship with the federal government, the State of Washington, Washington Service Corps, the program, or the Sponsoring Organization, the Member’s living allowance is subject to deductions for federal income tax, OASI (Social Security), and Medicare. Withholding deductions will vary according to the number of dependents claimed on the W-4 form.
3. AmeriCorps Members are prohibited from accepting or soliciting monetary compensation from their Sponsoring Organization or service site above and beyond their living allowance while serving as a Member of the WSC. Members may not receive additional compensation from any source for their AmeriCorps service. Members may not be hired as employees by their Sponsoring Organization and/or service site organization during their term of service.
Living Allowance. 48.01 All Employees shall receive a living allowance of four dollars and fifty cents ($4.50) per regular hour worked.
Living Allowance. The living allowance is designed to help members meet the necessary living expenses incurred while serving in the program. The living allowance is not a wage and does not fluctuate based on the number of hours members serve in a given time period. An annual living allowance of $____________will be paid during the term of service in increments throughout the term of service. The Member is responsible for providing the XYZ AmeriCorps staff with any changes in bank account information immediately. Living allowances are subject to deductions required by law (such as federal income tax withholding, social security taxes, and other authorized deductions). The living allowance can be delayed or suspended for non-completion of required hours, failure to attend service and/or training sessions, service projects and/or failure to complete necessary program paperwork and documentation. A member who completes his or her service early or starts service late will receive the portion of the living allowance that would be provided for that period of participation under the program’s living allowance distribution policy. The living allowance is provided for the expenses incurred while serving and is not linked to the completion of a member’s service hours. I also understand that Members are receiving a living allowance and are not eligible for unemployment benefits upon completion of service or release from the program.
Living Allowance. 1. Employees entitled to claim (a) may also claim up to 21 days reasonable motel or hotel reimbursement for the employee, spouse and children. Receipts are required.
2. Employees entitled to claim (a) may also claim up to 21 days meal allowance for employee, spouse and 50% for each child, for each day a reimbursement claim was made in No. 1 above. The meal allowance shall be that as specified in Article 25.14 of the current collective agreement between the Employer and CUPE 1767.

Living Allowance. For purposes of this Agreement, the city limits of Saskatoon and Regina shall be an area free of travel time, travel expense, and living allowance. Employees who are transferred by their Employer from one city to another shall receive travel time, travel expenses, and living allowance.

An employee shall forfeit Expense Allowance if he refuses to work when instructed by the Xxxxxxx on any working day.
4.2 It is also agreed that if employees are required to report to an out-of-town job on Friday, they shall receive the applicable Expense Allowance, for Saturday and Sunday of the first week-end or their transportation home and return at the discretion of the Company provided the employee is required to and does work the following Monday at the out-of-town job.
4.3 Employees required to live away from home to work on a job where Expense Allowance is applicable, will receive, for part or all of the first week away, Monday to Sunday inclusive, a daily allowance of applicable Expense Allowance in advance.
Living Allowance. JVC Northwest will pay the JV AmeriCorps member's living allowance in equal amounts distributed across the term of service.
Living Allowance. The Deputy Sheriff whose normal full-time assignment is the City of Cascade Locks shall receive a living allowance of not less than fifty dollars ($50) and not more than three hundred dollars ($300) per month, as budgeted and determined annually by the City of Cascade Locks.
