Mission and Purpose. IDVA aims to empower students throughout Idaho with an innovative and effective educational program. The school seeks to develop those qualities of mind and character that will help students become active, thoughtful, and responsible citizens. Furthermore, it aims to help students meet high expectations by offering an individualized, rigorous, self-paced, and mastery-based instructional program that incorporates significant parental involvement. This is accomplished through an innovative Internet/Online learning program that connects students, parents, and teachers in a 21st century learning community. A research-based curriculum developed by k12 Inc. is used to prepare Idaho students to meet the educational goals of the school. The self-paced nature of the program means that gifted students can dig deeply into the rich curriculum, while students having difficulty can spend more time attaining mastery. The k12-developed lesson plans and curriculum-based assessments guarantee consistent quality access for all students. (See Appendix for Accreditation Documentation.)
Mission and Purpose to stimulate the preservation and enhancement of the traditional commercial district in the Downtown area of the Town of Taos, New Mexico through education, historic preservation, beautification, promotion of community and civic pride, and combating the underlying reasons for the physical and economic deterioration of the district. The primary goal of Downtown Taos Inc. will be to operate a tax-exempt corporation dedicated to establishing and maintaining a livable, walkable and economically vibrant town center, henceforth known as the Taos MainStreet District.

Mission and Purpose. 2.1 The mission of the SRO program is the reduction and prevention of school-related violence and crime committed by juveniles and young adults, the reduction of the fear of crime on school campuses, and building effective partnerships with the faculty and staff of CSISD. This is accomplished by assigning Law Enforcement Officers to school facilities. The SRO Program accomplishes this mission by creating and maintaining safe, secure and orderly learning environments for students, teachers, and staff.
2.2 The SRO’s will establish a trusting channel of communication with students, parents, and teachers. SRO’s will serve as a positive role model to instill in students good moral standards, good judgment and discretion, respect for other students, and a sincere concern for the school community. SRO’s will promote citizen awareness of the law to enable students to become better informed and effective citizens, while empowering students with the knowledge of law enforcement efforts and obligations regarding enforcement as well as consequences for violations of the law.
2.3 SRO’s will serve as a confidential source of counseling for students and parents concerning problems they face as well as providing information on community resources available to them. Goals and objectives are designed to develop and enhance rapport between youth, police officers, and school administrators.
Mission and Purpose. The Museum’s mission is the preservation and education of railroading history in Fort Bend County, Texas. Exhibits span railroading history from the early days of Texas development through current railroading corporations and provide insight into the untold stories of the working-class and minorities. Programs deliver an interactive experience for guests of all ages. Guests can manipulate an engine simulator and interlocker machine. A viewing platform provides a safe space to watch passing freight trains. Model train layouts connect hobbyists to railroading of the past and allow imaginations to build for the future. Xxxxxxxxx'x Tower 17, on display at the Museum, connects guests to over 100 years of community and railroading history while highlighting the men and women who worked there. Guests can step back in time when they explore the 1970's caboose or the 1879 passenger railcar. The Museum's education program incorporates science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts in addition to the railroading history covered by tours. These program modules are primarily provided through field trips for many Fort Bend County public and private schools, including Title I schools. Title I school students typically test lower in math, science, and history and are often not exposed to museums or other cultural activities. The Museum believes that by offering educational opportunities outside of the public school system, the Museum provides a way of learning that improves retention, increases the knowledge base of the students and in the long term, improves Fort Bend County as a whole. In addition, the Museum offers merit badge programs for Scouts, preschool learning experiences and other classes covering a wide variety of STEM and history topics. Other programs include Discovery Day, which is a free museum day open to all, popular festivals, and family fun days. Discovery Day and the festivals are designed to be both entertaining and educational. Over the last seven (7) years the Museum has focused on improving the visitor experience and infrastructure. Improved and enhanced programs and infrastructure projects, with over $650,000 in new investment, include the renovation of the Education Station building, new Garden Railroad exhibit, restoration of the MOPAC Caboose and Quebec passenger car exteriors, improvements to Tower 17 and Gallery exhibits, landscaping and hardscaping improvements and the addition of mobility and English and Spanish language interpr...

Mission and Purpose. During the term of this Agreement, a Committee, appointed by the Director of Campus Security, comprised of equal numbers of bargaining unit employees and representatives of the College administration shall be established to study and develop a written description of the normal duties, purposes and expectations of the security force. Disputes, if any, arising during the course of the formation of this document shall be resolved by the Vice President for Student Development whose decision shall be final and binding.
Mission and Purpose. Floyd County Schools’ mission is to provide a quality education for a quality life. In order to meet the ever changing needs of educating students in the twenty-first century and to continue to be true to its mission, the Floyd County Schools decided to utilize the flexibility of a performance based contract called a charter. Pursuant to the flexibility granted to it under the charter, Floyd County Schools will be able to increase student achievement through academic and organizational innovation and will be able to customize its educational offerings and instructional delivery to meet the needs of an ever-changing community. This SGT was organized as a result of Floyd County Schools’ recognition that greater support and involvement by parents and the community is essential to the success of our students and schools. It is the hope of Floyd County Schools that such support and involvement will promote innovative ideas and creative solutions among staff, parents, and the community as they work collaboratively to solve complex educational problems specific to our students and community needs. The purpose of the SGT therefore is to bring teachers, administrators, parents, and community members together to xxxxxx a better understanding of and mutual respect for each other’s concerns, and allow them an opportunity to share ideas for school improvement with an emphasis on academic improvement of students. Through the SGT, it is the desire of the Floyd County Schools Board of Education to bring parents and community members together with local teachers and administrators to respectively make school based decisions and perpetuate school improvement. As required by the Constitution of the State of Georgia, the management and control of the Floyd County public schools is, and remains, the sole responsibility of the Floyd County School Board of Education (“FCBE”). Additionally, the school leader is, and will remain, the principal of the school. The SGT, however, serves to bring parents and community members together with the school administrators and teachers and shall provide advisory input upon matters concerning the local school.
