Mutual Exchange of Shifts. Subject to the following conditions, Team Members may exchange shifts on the same scheduled work day with another Team Member to accommodate special occasions: a) Such arrangements are not considered a change of schedule; b) Mutual changes will only be considered when shift team strength is sufficient to minimize risk to the operation; c) Mutual change will not result in additional cost to the Company and shall be for full shift periods. d) Mutual changes must be documented and approved in advance by the Supervisors of both Team Members involved; e) Exchanging Team Members must be fully qualified and performing the same job function;

Mutual Exchange of Shifts. (a) Mutual shift exchanges shall require the permission of the employee’s Xxxxxxx prior to the exchange taking place. (b) Employees may make personal arrangements to exchange all or part of a scheduled shift with another qualified employee as part of a mutually requested shift exchange. (c) No overtime shall be paid for hours worked in excess of the employee’s regularly scheduled hours because of personal arrangements between employees to utilize a mutual exchange for scheduled work. (d) Any such arrangements must be made by the employees involved, by filling out and submitting to the employee’s Xxxxxxx the appropriate form for approval.

Mutual Exchange of Shifts. (a) The Company recognizes that Employees may, on occasion, want to exchange shifts for personal reasons. This is an accepted practice, but it is important that proper written records are kept by the Employees of the shifts exchanged, and that the Employees’ Department Coordinator is informed. (b) There shall be no increased cost to the Employer as a result of the exchange of shifts by Employees.

Upon mutual agreement, any individual patrolman may request to exchange his/her normal work shift, or portion thereof, with that of another individual patrolman, provided written notice is given to the Chief of Police or designee no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the commencement of the shift to be exchanged, subject to the prior approval of the Chief of Police or designee, and provided that there is no additional cost to the Borough as a result of the exchange of shifts, provided that the exchange of shifts does not significantly impair the ability of the Borough to maintain adequate police protection and/or adequate supervision of the shift, and further provided that there is no overload of the administrative functions necessary to implement the exchange of this shift. The request for the mutual exchange of shifts shall not be unreasonably denied. B. In an emergency situation the twenty-four (24) hour notice requirement shall not be applicable.
