Non-Teachers. In consultation with staff, the employing authority may develop, implement and periodically review a process of validated self appraisal for non-teaching staff. Where appropriate such appraisal process shall take into account the needs of staff in individual schools and be based upon principles detailed in Schedule 8.
Non-Teachers. A non-teacher who is being laid off may transfer into a vacant position in another seniority unit for which they meet all of the qualifications of the vacant position. If there is no vacant position, a non-teacher who is being laid off and has successfully completed their probationary period pursuant to Article # (Discipline/Discharge) may bump the least senior employee in another seniority unit, provided the bumping employee meets all qualifications for the position into which they wish to bump and that the employee being bumped does not have unique qualifications such that their layoff would negatively impact PVPA’s operations.
Non-Teachers. If it becomes necessary to layoff non-teachers, first any contract employees shall be laid off, then if further layoff is necessary, it shall be in reverse order of seniority.
Non-Teachers. 25.7 The School will give non teaching Employees notice on termination (for reasons other than misconduct or other reasons that justify instant dismissal) in accordance with the following: Years of Service Pay by way of notice If not more than 1 year's service (and outside the probation period) 1 week's pay by way of notice If 1- 3 years service 2 weeks' pay by way of notice If 3 – 5 years service 3 weeks' pay by way of notice If 5 years service: 4 weeks' pay by way of notice If over 45 years of age An additional 1 week's pay by way of notice
Non-Teachers. In addition to restoration rights, the employee who is laid off may file a request within the department for which he/she worked to fill a vacancy with any employing unit within that department. Such employee will be appointed to any vacancy in the class from which they were laid off or could have bumped to for which he/she is minimally qualified and capable of performing providing that no other employee has restoration rights to such vacancy.
