Notification of Accumulated Leave. Each teacher shall be notified as to the number of leave days accumulated including days credited for the current year on each paycheck. When a teacher is absent, and the Superintendent or his designee determines that such absence is covered by one of the leave provisions of this agreement, the teacher shall be notified within 30 days of the absence as to which leave provision has been used.

Notification of Accumulated Leave. Each teacher shall receive a statement by the 30th day of student attendance indicating the number of accumulated sick leave days and personal business days as of the start of that school term. The statement shall reflect the accumulated sick leave days and personal business days as of the end of the prior school year and available for the current school year. A detailed listing of both personal and sick days used during the preceding school year will be provided to a teacher within fifteen (15) days after a written request for such a summary has been received by the Superintendent. A copy of the computerized attendance summary sheet is acceptable and will be provided once during any school term. The cost for duplication will be borne by the teacher.

Such notification may be a part of the payroll check stub information. 302 PERSONAL LEAVE Upon written request to the building principal and approval of the superintendent of schools each member employed by the Plymouth-Shiloh Board of Education shall be granted, without loss of contract pay, a maximum of three (3) personal leave days each school year without the member indicating the reasons on the prescribed form. These days will be non-cumulative and will be granted so long as classes can be covered. During the 4th quarter grading period, personal leave is limited to no more than two (2) members per building per day unless approved by the superintendent in cases of an emergency. Personal days may not be used during the last ten (10) student days of the school year unless the form was submitted three weeks prior to the leave request date. Leave for personal business may not be used for gainful employment. At the end of each fiscal year, or upon severance from service with the district, all unused personal leave from said fiscal year shall be converted to sick leave up to the total allowed in Section 301-A. A bargaining unit member who personally uses four (4) or fewer sick days or any bargaining unit members who have accumulated the maximum sick days of three hundred sixty (360) may choose to be compensated at the rate of one hundred thirty-three dollars and thirty-three cents ($133.33) per each unused personal day, up to four-hundred dollars ($400), rather than converting the unused days to sick leave. Additionally, members who use two (2) or fewer sick or personal days in the fourth grading period will qualify for a payment of three-hundred dollars ($300). Payments will be made to members in the last pay in June of the fiscal year the personal leave was accrued, utilizing the approved District form (Appendix O).

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits An employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each calendar month during which the employee receives pay for at least ten (10) days at the following rate:

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave For each month of a fiscal year in which an employee receives ten (10) days pay, he shall earn vacation leave at the following rates:

  • Notification of Absence A unit member shall contact the office of the division xxxx whenever there is a need to be absent and at least thirty (30) minutes prior to missing any work assignment. Should circumstances prohibit this notification, the unit member shall notify the division office in writing, within one week of returning to work, providing the reasons why advance notification was not given.

  • Recall from Vacation Leave When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that he incurs:

  • Sick Leave Accumulation (a) An employee is eligible to accumulate sick leave with full pay at the rate of 16 working hours for each 173 1/3 hours of service. (b) The maximum number of days of sick leave which may be awarded to an employee during any consecutive twenty (20) year period of service shall not exceed 3840 hours.

  • Call Back From Vacation (a) Employees who have commenced their annual vacation shall not be called back to work, except in cases of extreme emergency. (b) When, during any vacation period, an employee is recalled to duty, he/she shall be reimbursed for all expenses incurred thereby by himself/herself, in proceeding to his/her place of duty and in returning to the place from which he/she was recalled upon resumption of vacation, upon submission of receipts (except for meals) to the Employer. (c) Time necessary for travel in returning to his/her place of duty and returning again to the place from which he/she was recalled shall not be counted against his/her remaining vacation entitlement.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Restoration of Vacation Leave In the event an employee is injured or becomes ill while on vacation leave, the employee may submit a written request to use sick leave and have the equivalent amount of vacation leave restored. The supervisor may require a written medical certificate.

  • Election Leave Employees shall be granted unpaid leave of absence to enable them to run for elected public office and if elected, to serve their term(s) of office subject to the following provisions: (a) Employees seeking election in a Municipal, Provincial or Federal election shall be granted unpaid leave of absence for a period of up to (90) calendar days. (b) Employees elected to public office shall be granted unpaid leave of absence for a period up to five (5) years.
