Night Shift Differential Pay. An employee who is regularly assigned to work night shift is eligible to receive night shift differential pay in addition to the employee's base salary. If the employee's shift is regularly scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m., the employee will receive shift differential pay of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for all hours actually worked that shift. The night shift differential pay will be paid only to an employee who is regularly assigned to the night shift starting at 6:00 p.m. and who actually works such shift.

All employees who are not regularly assigned to work 50% or more of his or her hours between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 AM. shall receive the night shift differential of 7.5% of base pay for all hours worked between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 AM., provided he or she works a minimum of+ J. hour� between the period of 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 AM. excluding any hours that are a part of the employees' regular shift.
Night Shift Differential Pay. All shift work performed between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. shall be considered night work. Payment for night work, in addition to regular compensation, shall be made at the rate of six percent (6%) of base salary for those hours worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. except as provided herein. If an employee works a shift of which at least fifty percent (50%) of the hours are between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a. m. the employee shall be paid the differential for the entire shift. No night shift differential shall be paid for overtime worked at either the beginning or the end of a shift unless the regular shift hours qualify for the night shift differential. An employee who, at the direction of management, is reassigned from a bid shift eligible for the differential to a shift which is not eligible for the differential shall continue to receive night shift differential for the remainder of the shift bid excluding any reassignment for purposes of any type of training. An employee who is reassigned for purposes of light duty resulting from an on-the-job injury from a bid shift eligible for the differential to a shift which is not eligible for the differential shall continue to receive night shift differential for the remainder of the shift bid. This continuation of night shift differential for the remainder of the shift bid shall not apply to any light duty shift reassignment resulting from an off-the-job injury. There shall be no carryover of night shift differential on a non-qualifying shift from one shift bid to another shift bid. (Revised 1-1-98)
Night Shift Differential Pay. Any bargaining unit member who is assigned regularly assigned to the Midnight Shift (defined as any regularly assigned shift that starts before midnight on one day and ends on midnight the subsequent calendar day) shall receive an additional $1,400.00 per year as compensation in FY25, $1,500.00 in FY26, $1,600.00 in FY27, and $1,700.00 in FY28. This benefit does not apply to probationary police officers nor does it apply to bargaining unit members who work the midnight shift on an overtime basis when the midnight shift is not part of their regularly scheduled shift assignment.

  • Shift Differential Pay SECTION 1: In addition to compensation provided by the wage schedule, employees working between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. shall be paid a shift differential premium of $.45 (forty-five cents) per hour in addition to the regular pay for those hours. SECTION 2: Employees must work a minimum of 3 (three) hours in order for shift differential to apply.

  • Night Shift Differential Unit 12 employees who regularly work shifts shall receive a night shift differential as set forth below: A. Employees shall qualify for the first night shift pay differential of forty (40) cents per hour where four (4) or more hours of the regularly scheduled work shift falls between 6 p.m. and 12 midnight. Night-shift premium shall not be added to the employee’s hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime pay.

  • Differential Pay Section 1( A). Geographic Area Pay. Classifications C4115, C4116, C4207, C4209, C4211, C4213, C4215, C4221, C4223, C4225: Prevailing basic rates in specific geographical areas for employment of limited duration less than one hundred twenty (120) days will be approved. Employees paid at such rates will not be eligible for vacation, sick leave or holiday benefits. Such rates will be paid only for construction work.

  • Weekend Differential Employees assigned to State institutions other than Maine State Prison shall be eligible for a weekend differential of fifty cents ($.50) per hour to the base for shifts beginning between 10:00 p.m. Friday and 9:59 p.m.
