Payment for Shift Work. In the case of shift work a supplement of 25% of the salary shall be paid. The supplement shall be paid monthly in advance and together with salary. For shift work during the period Saturday 06.00 a.m. to Monday 06.00 a.m. and on weekday public holidays between 12 noon and 12 midnight, an extra supplement of 40% of the hourly salary shall be payable. The calculation is based on quarters of an hour and fractions thereof, and the hourly salary is calculated by dividing the annual salary, excluding the 25% shift supplement, by 1,872. In the event of illness, time-off for a sick child, holiday and care days, the usual supplement will be paid. The supplement is pensionable.
Payment for Shift Work. (i) Payment for day shift shall be at the ordinary rate of pay, (ii) Payment for early morning shift (on Monday to Friday) shall be at the ordinary rate of pay plus 10 per cent, (iii) Payment for afternoon shift (on Monday to Friday) shall be at the ordinary rate of pay plus 12 ½ per cent, (iv) Payment for night shift (on Monday to Friday) shall be at the ordinary rate of pay plus 15 per cent. (v) Payment for all ordinary time worked on a Saturday shall be at the rate of:  time and one half of the ordinary rate of pay for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter for each Saturday worked up to 30 June 2017;  time and one half of the ordinary rate of pay for each Saturday worked on and after 1 July 2017. (vi) Payment for all ordinary time worked on a Sunday shall be at the rate of double the ordinary rate of pay, (vii) Payment for all ordinary time worked on a Public Holiday shall be at the rate of double and one half of the ordinary rate of pay, (viii) Employees rostered off on a public holiday shall be credited with a day in lieu for each such day. (ix) Employees are entitled to a 17.5 per cent annual leave loading. Shift workers proceeding on annual leave are to be paid in respect of leave taken in any period of 12 months commencing 1 December, shift premiums and penalty rates (or other allowance paid on a regular basis in lieu thereof) they would have received had they been on duty or the 17.5 per cent annual leave loading, whichever is the more favourable.
Payment for Shift Work. 14.4.4.1 Shift work Employees whilst on afternoon shift or night shift other than on a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday must be paid an additional payment at the rate of 17.5 % of the rates stated by Appendix A; 14.4.4.2 Shift work Employees who do not rotate on day shift at least one week in five must be paid whilst on afternoon or night shift an additional payment at the rate of 30 per centum of the rates stated in Appendix A; 14.4.4.3 An Employee at his or her own instigation may request in writing, for a specified period, to work either afternoon or night shift without the requirement to be on day shift for at least one week in five weeks. In this situation the shift loading is 17.5%. Payment for Shift Work. 54.1 An Employee required to work shift work will be paid at the rates set out in this clause. 54.2 If an Employee works a shift where any part of the shift falls between 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday, that Employee will receive an additional payment at 15% of their salary for all time worked on that shift. 54.3 If an Employee works a shift on a Saturday, that Employee will receive an additional payment at 50% of their salary for all time worked between the hours of midnight Friday and midnight Saturday on that shift. 54.4 If an Employee works a shift on a Sunday, that Employee will receive an additional payment at 100% of their salary for all time worked between the hours of midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday on that shift. 54.5 If an Employee works shifts and is required to work a shift that falls wholly within 6.00pm and 8.00am for a period greater than four weeks, that Employee will receive an additional payment of 30% of their salary for all time worked on that shift.

Payment for Shift Work. Employees engaged during ordinary hours on shifts will be paid the shift allowance as prescribed in Appendix 1 provided that the shift allowance is already included in a loaded rate calculation.
Payment for Shift Work. ACS shall pay shift workers, other than day shift workers, in addition to their ordinary rate of pay, a penalty loading of 15% of one-fifth of the weekly rate of the Skill Level 2 rate of this Agreement, per shift worked. ACS shall pay employees engaged on a permanent night shift, in addition to their ordinary rate of pay, a penalty loading of 30% of one-fifth of the weekly rate of the Skill Level 2 rate of this Agreement, per shift worked. Shift penalties shall be calculated to the nearest cent. All time worked by a shift worker (other than a seven day continuous shift worker) between midnight on Sunday and 7.00 a.m. on Monday shall be paid for at the rate of time and a half for the first three hours and double time thereafter. Where an employee begins the week’s work on Sunday night, the employee will receive double time for all work performed on Sunday. However ACS and employees may agree to arrange shifts so that they commence on Sunday night instead of Monday with ordinary rates to be paid for Sunday work provided there is mutual agreement between ACS and a majority of employees concerned, or if applicable, between ACS and an individual employee. The proposed terms of any variation to the commencement of night shift: Will be communicated to the affected employee/s and the affected employee/s will be given mutually agreed adequate time to consider the proposal. Will be expressed in a manner that enables the proposal to be understood by the employee/s, in particular having regard to employees from a non-English speaking background, and Must be agreed and recorded in writing.
