Payment for Vacation Leave a. Except as provided in Article 23, Section 2, upon separation from service for any cause, an employee shall be paid a lump sum payment for any unused or accumulated vacation earned through the last day worked. If this is earlier than the last day of the pay period, the vacation shall be prorated. Payment for unused vacation leave will be at the employee's base hourly rate on the last day worked prior to separation.
b. Any employee with ten (10) years or more of creditable service is eligible in November of each year to submit a written request to the Director of Human Resources to be paid for twenty (20) hours of vacation leave, provided the employee has used at least eighty (80) hours of vacation leave or compensatory time or any combination thereof from December 1st through November 30th and carries a minimum accumulated balance of two hundred (200) hours. Payment will be paid in December of that year and taxed at the current supplemental tax rate.
Payment for Vacation Leave. Vacation leaves may be taken in any time increments accommodated by current Ohio University payroll software. Vacation pay shall be paid in advance to those employees taking a vacation of one
(1) week or more, and who request such pay at least three (3) weeks in advance of the vacation. Employees shall forfeit their right to take or to be paid for any vacation leave to their credit which is in excess of the accrual for three (3) years. Such excess leave shall be eliminated from employees' leave balances.
Payment for Vacation Leave. Employees who terminate or who are discharged from employment with the City and have been continuously employed six or more months shall be paid for unused vacation leave at their regular rate. In the event of an employee's death, the beneficiary of the employee will be paid the unused vacation leave at the employee's regular rate.
Payment for Vacation Leave a. b. Any employee with a minimum accumulated vacation leave balance of 140 hours as of November 30 of the calendar year is eligible in November of each year to submit a written request to the Director of Human Resources to be paid for up to 100 hours of vacation leave. Payment will be paid in December of that year and taxed at the current supplemental tax rate.
Payment for Vacation Leave. Vacation leave shall be paid at the authorized regular rate of pay being earned at the time vacation is taken. Employees who are leaving the service of the City for any reason and are entitled to receive payment for accrued vacation time, shall receive such payment based on their regular rate of pay earned during their last pay period of active service. If an employee leaves the service of the City before completing one (1) year of service, no accrued vacation leave will be allowed. An employee who has served over one (1) year shall be paid for any accrued vacation due on leaving the service of the City.
Payment for Vacation Leave. Employees who terminate or who are discharged from employment with the City and having completed their probationary period shall be paid for unused vacation leave at their regular rate. The official termination date shall be the last day of active employment and shall not be extended due to payment of unused vacation leave.
Payment for Vacation Leave. 1. An employee who is separated from County employment is not entitled to be paid for accrued vacation leave unless the employee has completed the employee’s probationary period, and six (6) months of employment.
2. Except as set forth in paragraph A. and sub-paragraph C.
(1) preceding, upon separation from service an employee shall be paid a lump sum payment of unused vacation leave accrued through the last day worked.
3. Upon death of a County employee the County shall pay to the employee’s estate a lump sum payment for unused vacation leave, accrued through the last day worked.
4. Payment for time accrued in lieu of vacation leave shall not be allowed except as provided for in paragraph A. and sub-paragraphs C.(1) and C.(2) immediately preceding.
Payment for Vacation Leave a. In December of each year, employees shall be eligible to submit a request to be paid for up to a range of twenty (20) hours to a maximum of eighty (80) hours of vacation leave from December 1st through November 30th. The County Manager shall establish the maximum vacation leave sellback for the employee each year prior to December 1st, consistent with Category III employees of the M-Plan.
Payment for Vacation Leave a. If this is earlier than the last day of the pay period, the vacation shall be prorated. Payment for unused vacation leave shall be at the employee’s biweekly salary divided by 80. Only employees who have successfully completed probation shall be eligible for payment of accumulated vacation leave upon separation.
