PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. The partnership proposed by the Recipient was selected due to merit review evaluations from the 2017 Notice of Funding Opportunity P17AS00037. The Recipient demonstrated expertise in disciplines and subject areas of relevance to cooperative research and training. The Recipient met the program interests of NPS with expertise, facilities, experience, diversity of programs, and history of collaborative research projects. The Recipient helps the NPS Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) network to meet its objectives to: • Provide research, technical assistance and education to NPS for resource management; • Develop a program of research, technical assistance and education that involves the biological, physical, social, and cultural sciences needed to address resources issues and interdisciplinary problem-solving at multiple scales and in an ecosystem context at the local, regional, and national level; and • Place special emphasis on the working collaboration among NPS, universities, and their related partner institutions. Title: Provide research, technical assistance and education for resource management The CESU network seeks to provide scientifically-based information on the nature and status of selected biological, physical, and cultural resources occurring within the parks in a form that increases its utility for making management decisions, conducting scientific research, educating the public, developing effective monitoring programs, and developing management strategies for resource protection. Studying the resources present in NPS parks benefits the Recipient’s goal of advancing knowledge through scientific discovery, integration, application, and teaching, which lead toward a holistic understanding of our environmental and natural resources. The Recipient is a research university, sharing research, educational, and technological strengths with other institutions. Through inter-institutional collaboration, combined with the unique contributions of each constituent institution, the Recipient strives to contribute substantially to the cultural, economic, environmental, scientific, social and technological advancement of the nation. For performance under this cooperative agreement, the regulations set forth in 2 CFR, Part 200, supersedes OMB Circulars A–21 (2 CFR 220), A–87 (2 CFR 225), A–110, and A–122 (2 CFR 230); Circulars A–89, A–102, and A–133; and the guidance in Circular A–50 on Single Audit Act follow–up apply. PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES i. Support socially disadvantaged regional beef and bison producers in accessing institutional markets.
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. List or explain what results or benefits will be derived from this effort. Note that these outcomes will be the major building blocks upon which the milestones in the next section are based.
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. Project Goals – A broad statement of what is to be accomplished. Goals focus on the big picture of the project. Project Objectives – The expected end result of the project. Objectives are steps towards accomplishing the goals.
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. 4.2.1 The goal of this Project is to build a state of the art recreational facility, consistent with the project scope and budget, with an Olympic size aquatic center, designed to be user friendly and easily accessible for the enjoyment of the community, while also being sensitive to the adjacent neighborhood.
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. Describe the goals of the project and identify indicators or measures to be used to determine at the conclusion of the project if goals were achieved and if the project is a success. The performance measures should focus on solid, measurable actions related to the project. Examples of indicators may be the amount of money leveraged (from other public or private sources), number of self- sufficient jobs created, number of business-ready lots created, etc. The Town of Jackson’s SKM Business Committed Xxxxx seeks to achieve the following two objectives:
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. The objective of this Agreement is to provide Emergency Supplemental Historic Preservation Funds (HPF) to State and Tribal Historic Preservation Offices for necessary expenses related to the consequences of hurricanes Xxxxxxxx and Xxxxxxx and typhoon Yutu provided that such funds are limited to areas that have received a major disaster declaration pursuant to the Xxxxxx X. Xxxxxxxx Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. § 5121 et seq.); including costs necessary to complete compliance activities required by 54 U.S.C. § 306108 (formerly known as Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act); costs needed to administer the program; and costs for the preservation, stabilization, rehabilitation, and repair of historic properties that are listed in, or considered eligible for listing in, the National Register of Historic Places damaged by the above-named storms within such as areas.
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. The project goals are to alleviate the flooding in the park and the surrounding community, minimize the demand on the Biscayne aquifer for potable water and reduce the contamination of surface water and groundwater. The potable water for this 5-acre project site is currently provided by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Xxxxxxx Treatment Plant which draws groundwater from the Biscayne Aquifer at the Prospect Wellfield. As this project aims to utilize the captured stormwater as irrigation, in lieu of potable water, the withdraw demand on the Biscayne Aquifer will be subsequently reduced by approximately 40 million gallons of water per year. The City Park site is located within the SFWMD North Fork Middle River Basin, in the heart of an industrial district and known contaminated sites. Stormwater runoff is a known conduit that can collect and transport various contaminates/ pollutants from the source directly into our waterways. The construction of this stormwater capture system would allow the capture of stormwater runoff before it can accumulate harmful contaminants and transport them to waterways.
