Purchasing Additional Annual Leave. If you are a permanent employee you can apply to purchase up to 4 weeks additional Annual Leave per year on top of your normal 4 weeks Annual Leave. Additional leave needs to be taken in a minimum period of 1 week. Your annual salary/wage will be reduced over a 52 week period by the value of the amount of leave purchased. In order to purchase additional Annual Leave you can't have excess Annual or Long Service Leave balances. Some conditions > When you use your purchased leave you will continue to accrue Annual, Long Service and Personal Leave at 100% of your accrual rate. > Purchased leave is considered as service in all circumstances. > Employer Superannuation Contributions are based on the reduced annual rate of pay. > Any agreement for additional Annual Leave must be in writing and signed by you and Management. > Where additional hours are paid at penalty or overtime rates, the payment will be calculated using your ordinary hourly rate and not the annualised hourly rate. > Leave loading does not apply to any additional Annual Leave purchased. > If you get a promotion, secondment or transfer, the continued application of the arrangement is to be negotiated between you and your new Manager. We will recalculate the annualised hourly rate if the agreement is discontinued or continued with a different pay rate. > The additional purchased leave must be taken in full at the end of the 52 week period and is not able to be accrued. If you are unable to take the additional leave by the completion of the 12 month period the arrangement will be cancelled, leave credit annulled and you will be refunded any deduction to your salary. Leave will be credited at the pay rate on application. > If your employment is terminated or you withdraw prior to the end of the purchased leave arrangement, you will either: ▪ have the pro-rata amount of unused purchased leave reimbursed as a lump sum payment; or ▪ be required to repay any overdrawn purchased leave.

Purchasing Additional Annual Leave. The purchase of additional leave aims to assist employees in accessing leave over and above their annual leave entitlements. Permanent employees of Churches of Xxxxxx in Queensland under this Agreement who have been employed for a minimum of twelve (12) months and whose leave balance does not exceed four weeks, may request and seek approval to purchase additional annual leave. The additional leave is bought by the employee's annual salary being reduced by an amount equivalent to the cost of the additional leave over the 12 months period. A deduction will be made from the employee's pay for each fortnight in the purchasing period. Employees may purchase 2 or 4 weeks of leave over a period of 12 months. Employees intending to purchase additional leave must consult their superannuation provider to ascertain the impact on their superannuation position prior to seeking approval. When considering an application for purchased leave the employer will take into account the organisation’s operational requirements and the personal circumstances of the employee. Leave loading will not apply to purchased leave.
Purchasing Additional Annual Leave i) Subject to operational requirements of the business, satisfactory attendance, not having more than 20 days accumulated Annual Leave entitlement, all employees may, once each PDR year commencing on 1 March elect to purchase up to 20 days additional annual leave. Purchasing Additional Annual Leave. If you are a full-time employee, you may apply to Forests NSW to purchase either 10 days (2 weeks) or 20 days (4 weeks) of additional annual leave in a 12-month period. If you are a part-time employee, you may apply to Forests NSW to purchase additional annual leave based on the entitlement above, but calculated on a pro rata basis with reference to your ordinary hours of work. Forests NSW will consider whether to approve your application to purchase annual leave having regard to Forest NSW's operational requirements and your personal needs. If your employment with Forests NSW terminates while purchased annual leave arrangements are in place, you will either:  have the pro-rated amount of unused purchased annual leave reimbursed; or  be required to repay any overdrawn purchased annual leave.
Purchasing Additional Annual Leave. (1) An employee may agree with the employer to purchase Annual Leave in addition to their normal four (4) weeks Annual Leave in a year. Leave must be purchased in weekly blocks and the minimum amount of additional leave able to be purchased is one (1) week. Where agreement is reached, the employee’s salary and other entitlements shall be appropriately adjusted in accordance with the amount of additional leave agreed. The adjusted salary will apply for a period agreed to in advance by the employee and the employer.
Purchasing Additional Annual Leave. 19.5 Subject to operational requirements and the principle that the ASC not incur any additional cost, the ASC may at its discretion allow an employee to ‘purchase’ additional annual leave in a block of one or two weeks once in a calendar year. The additional leave will be paid for by the employee’s fortnightly salary being reduced by a corresponding proportion of its original amount. Employees must apply in writing to purchase additional annual leave and once approved this approval cannot be revoked.

  • Additional Annual Leave (a) Shift Worker as defined by the Act An employee is entitled to accrue an additional amount of paid annual leave, for each completed 12 month period of continuous service with the employer, of 1/52 of the number of ordinary hours worked by the employee, for the employer, as a Shift Worker as defined by the Act during that 12 month period. The additional paid annual leave set out in this sub-clause is not cumulative upon the additional paid annual leave set out in the next sub-clause 21.6(b). The entitlement set out in this sub-clause shall only apply in the event that it provides a more favourable outcome for the employee and, if it does, then sub-clause 21.6(b) shall not apply.

  • Payment of Annual Leave (a) If an employee takes annual leave during a period, the annual leave shall be paid at the employee’s ordinary pay immediately before the period begins.

  • Entitlement to Annual Leave For each year of service with the Employer a full-time or part-time Employee is entitled to four (4) weeks of paid annual leave.
