Safety Culture. The safety of EM workers is a core value that is incorporated into every aspect of the EM program. To best protect our workers, EM has a goal of zero accidents or incidents in the work place and to date, has maintained a strong safety record. EM continues to utilize the Integrated Safety Management System to ensure that all work activities are appropriately scoped, analyzed for hazards, comprehensively planned to eliminate or mitigate those hazards, and effectively performed by trained employees. In addition, EM follows DOE Order 226.1B; Implementation of Department of Energy Oversight Policy that establishes the philosophy that line management is responsible for ensuring safety when work is performed. EM seeks to continue safety improvements by instituting corrective actions, promoting lessons learned, and developing new or improved processes.

Safety Culture. The International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) International Nuclear Safety Advisory Group’s (INSAG) INSAG-4 publication, defines safety culture as “that assembly of characteristics and attitudes in organizations and individuals which establishes that, as an overriding priority, nuclear plant safety issues receive the attention warranted by their significance. Thorium Power shall conform to all IAEA standards in establishing a safety culture. As part of that culture, Thorium Power shall comply with all applicable Abu Dhabi and UAE laws and regulations which prohibit Discrimination against workers for engaging in certain Protected Activities. “
Safety Culture. The ability to deliver safe, quality care to our communities requires a strong safety culture amongst our people. A baseline assessment of safety culture across all the sites and services will be conducted this year and tailored interventions that support improving the culture will be developed to address the individual results at a local level. This work will build on the recent actions at Prince of Wales Hospital, where a safety culture assessment led to targeted interventions that have had a measurable impact on reducing healthcare acquired complications. District-wide approach to planning The adoption of a District approach to planning in SESLHD will drive a number of initiatives in the coming year. In 2021, SESLHD will consult broadly with our consumers, staff, and partners in developing a new District strategy that places people at the centre of the delivery of care to our communities. A District Clinical Services Plan will respond to the strategic priorities identified and build on the work undertaken by the Clinical Streams in reviewing site delineation across all sites and services. Safety Culture. The Contractor shall embrace a strong safety culture where safe performance of work and involvement of workers in all aspects of work performance are core values that are deeply, strongly, and consistently held by managers and workers. Organizations xxxxxx that culture by leadership commitment and behaviors consistent with those values; establishing a safety conscious work environment in which employees feel free to raise safety concerns to management without fear of retaliation; prioritizing concerns based on safety significance; addressing and resolving those concerns in a manner that provides transparency; and supporting a questioning attitude concerning safety by all employees.

Related to Safety Culture

  • Safety Where an employee is prevented from working at the employee’s particular function as a result of unsafe conditions caused by the inclement weather, the employee may be transferred to other work in the employee’s classification on site, until the unsafe conditions are rectified. Where such alternative is not available and until the unsafe conditions are rectified, the employee shall remain on site. The employee shall be paid for such time without reduction of the employees’ inclement weather entitlement.

  • SAFETY AND HEALTH 20.1 The Employer, employee and Union have a significant responsibility for workplace safety and health.

  • Environmental, Health and Safety Laws There does not exist any violation by the Borrower or any Subsidiary of any applicable federal, state or local law, rule or regulation or order of any government, governmental department, board, agency or other instrumentality relating to environmental, pollution, health or safety matters which will or threatens to impose a material liability on the Borrower or a Subsidiary or which would require a material expenditure by the Borrower or such Subsidiary to cure. Neither the Borrower nor any Subsidiary has received any notice to the effect that any part of its operations or properties is not in material compliance with any such law, rule, regulation or order or notice that it or its property is the subject of any governmental investigation evaluating whether any remedial action is needed to respond to any release of any toxic or hazardous waste or substance into the environment, the consequences of which non-compliance or remedial action could constitute an Adverse Event.

  • Environmental, Health and Safety Matters (a) The Company has complied and is in compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements.

  • Environmental, Health and Safety i. Environment, Health and Safety Performance. Seller acknowledges and accepts full and sole responsibility to maintain an environment, health and safety management system ("EMS") appropriate for its business throughout the performance of this Contract. Buyer expects that Seller’s EMS shall promote health and safety, environmental stewardship, and pollution prevention by appropriate source reduction strategies. Seller shall convey the requirement of this clause to its suppliers. Seller shall not deliver goods that contain asbestos mineral fibers.

The Supplier and its staff (and/or any sub-supplier and/or subcontractor) shall comply with the laws and regulations in force related to protection of the environment, the health and safety instructions applicable to the Goods and Services performed pursuant to the Contract and especially, if appropriate, to the Goodsand Services performedon any Site by a third company.

  • Health and Safety C8.1 The Contractor shall promptly notify the Authority of any health and safety hazards which may arise in connection with the performance of the Contract. The Authority shall promptly notify the Contractor of any health and safety hazards which may exist or arise at the Authority’s Premises and which may affect the Contractor in the performance of the Contract.

  • Environmental and Safety Matters Except as disclosed in Schedule 4.13:

  • Environmental and Safety Laws To its knowledge, the Company is not in violation of any applicable statute, law or regulation relating to the environment or occupational health and safety, and to its knowledge, no material expenditures are or will be required in order to comply with any such existing statute, law or regulation.

  • HEALTH AND WELFARE 36.01 Health and welfare benefits shall be as contained in Appendix "A" of this Agreement and shall form part of this Agreement.
