Number of Union Safety Representatives The Company will recognize a total of three Union safety representatives, two for the Engineering Building areas and one for the Test areas, for the purpose of discussion and consultation with designated management representatives regarding safety problems. The safety chairman will be an active member of the Environmental, Health and Safety Council and will be paid for attending such meetings. Union safety representatives shall be active employees of the Company. SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT. The contractor shall ensure compliance with all the Acts, Rules & Regulations pertaining to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) as applicable from time to time. The contractor shall be fully responsible for the safety of his workmen & shall take necessary precaution to avoid any accident.
SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT. The parties are committed to the personal safety of all personnel. To this end, both management and employees seek to achieve a reduction in injuries to a zero level. All Personnel shall be proactive in improving the Safe working ethic, identifying possible problem areas and actively contributing to safety improvement (Clause 21 and Attachment "B" ) initiatives such as. Personnel to actively monitor their own safety behaviour as well as the safety behaviour of others. Continually seek & suggest improvements to minimise risk of injury to themselves and others. Active participation and attendance at Safety meetings. To report all near misses, and work injuries immediately and if medical treatment is required cooperate in the use of the company recommended medical practitioner to achieve the best possible management of the injury. To fully cooperate in all accident investigations. It is the responsibility of all Employees to work in a manner that is not detrimental to their own or others safety, or is likely to cause damage to the environment. Employees will be issued with personal protective equipment (PPE) as listed below;
SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT. The parties share a common concern for the safety and health of employees and a system of internal responsibility whereby safety, health and environment matters are addressed by employees in the workplace using joint and co-operative methods. The parties will establish a joint General Safely, Health and Environment Committee consisting of the Local Union President, the four Safety, Health and Environment Committee Chairs appointed by the Local Union, Manager, Safety, Health and Environment for the Company and four (4)persons appointed by the Company. The General Safety, Health and Environment Committee will meet every six months within fourteen days of an exchange of agendas between the parties describing the subjects desired to be discussed at the meeting. The Company will prepare and distribute minutes of the meetings to Committee members. The General Safety, Health and Environment Committee will: serve as a coordinating group for safety, health and environment matters affecting employees at work; review and discuss the performance of the Area Safety Health and Environment Committees established under this Agreement; assist in dealing with issues affecting employees at work not resolved by either an Area Safety, Health and Environment Committee under this Agreement or an existing Operating Safety, Health and Environment Committee; review and discuss the performance of changes in the Safety, Health Environment program affecting employees. An Area Safety, Health and Environment Committee will be established for each of the following geographic areas to discuss review safety, health and environment within the Area: The General Office Building The General Engineering Building The Building The Central Process Technology Building. Each Area Safety, Health and Committee will consist of two employees and one alternate employee of the Area appointed by the Local Union, a manager, or designate, from the Area and one (1) other person appointed by the Company. In situation where an employee member appointed by the Local Union is absent for the day, or she will be replaced by the alternate Union member. The Local Union and the Company will each designate a member appointed by it as a co-chair and the Committee will meet quarterly within fourteen
