Safety Insurance. L9.03 (a) An Occasional Teacher who is unable to perform the Occasional Teacher’s regular duties because of a condition compensable under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act shall receive such benefits as awarded by the W.S.I.B. regulations.
Safety Insurance. The Grantee shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with its services or performance of its operations under this agreement. The Grantee shall comply, and will require its contractors (if any) to comply, with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, standards and lawful orders from authorities bearing on the safety of persons or property or their protection from damage, injury or loss. The Grantee shall take all reasonable precautions for the safety of all employees and all persons whom the Grantee suffers to be on the properties or working on the Project, and any materials, and equipment on the properties under the care, custody and/or control of the Grantee or its contractors. Grantee shall maintain adequate insurance to cover claims, liabilities, and damages arising from Grantee and any of its contractors’ activities related to the Project.

As clarification, “The People of the State of New York” means the State of New York and its subsidiary governmental entities. This is the name in which the State, as a governmental entity, enters into contracts, takes title to property, and initiates legal actions. Using the term “People” does not mean that the insurer is insuring all residents of New York State; rather, it means that the State government is being insured.

  • Comprehensive Automobile and Truck Liability Insurance covering owned, hired and non-owned vehicles, with a combined bodily injury and property damage limit of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence; or separate limits of $250,000 for bodily injury (per person), $500,000 bodily injury (per accident), and $100,000 for property damage.
