Safety Insurance. (a) An Employee without accumulated sick leave who is unable to perform the Employee’s regular duties because of a condition compensable under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act shall receive such benefits as awarded by the W.S.I.B..
(b) An Employee who, on the date of a compensable accident, had accumulated sick leave available shall continue to receive full salary and Employee benefits until such time as the sick leave accumulation is depleted. Upon the depletion of sick leave, the Employee shall receive only those benefits to which the Employee is entitled by W.S.I.B. regulations and/or Long Term Disability benefits under the Employee’s L.T.D. Plan.
(c) During the period of time that the Employee is in receipt of W.S.I.B. benefits and the Employer is continuing to pay full salary, the Employer shall deduct from the Employee’s accumulated sick leave the equivalent of .5 of a day for each day of absence.
(d) When an Employee, who is in receipt of W.S.I.B. benefits has depleted the Employee’s accumulated sick leave account, the Employee may become eligible for Long Term Disability benefits subject to the terms and conditions of the Employee’s Long Term Disability Plan.
(e) The Employee will comply with all directions given by W.S.I.B. as it relates to the benefit program. Failure to comply will result in the stoppage of any further payments by the Employer to the Employee.
Safety Insurance. (a) An Occasional Teacher who is unable to perform the Occasional Teacher’s regular duties because of a condition compensable under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act shall receive such benefits as awarded by the W.S.I.B. regulations.
(b) The Occasional Teacher will comply with all directions given by W.S.I.B. as it relates to the benefit program. Failure to comply will result in the stoppage of any further payments by the Board to the Occasional Teacher.

Safety Insurance. The safety of Ramco personnel rendering Service at Customer site shall rest with the Customer. Customer shall at all times maintain adequate insurance cover against any accident, bodily injury or such other applicable cover to protect Ramco Personnel working at Customer Site.
Safety Insurance. An Occasional Teacher who is unable to perform the Occasional Teacher’s regular duties because of a condition compensable under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act shall receive such benefits as awarded by the W.S.I.B. regulations.
Safety Insurance. Where an employee is absent due to illness or injury which is compensable by the following shall apply:
(a) The employee will not be eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, uniform allowance, or any other benefit of this agreement, except where specified otherwise during any absence covered by Provided that the employee returns to work within fifty-two (52) consecutive weeks of the date of illness or injury, time spent on shall be considered as time worked for the purpose of calculating the current year's vacation entitlement under the terms of the Agreement. In the case of an absence due to a compensable accident, the employee will be paid at her regular rate of pay for all scheduled hours on the day of the accident. In the case of an absence due to a compensable accident, where the anticipated length of such absence is four (4) months or more, the Employer will post notice of the vacancy in accordance with the job posting procedure (Article 15) of this Agreement. Where the anticipated absence is less than four months, the Employer may fill the position at his discretion. The injured employee shall have a period of two (2) years from the date of injury within which she shall preserve the sen- iority which she had accrued in accordance with Article and within which she shall have the right to return to work upon the recommendation of the or the attending physician, which shall indicate to the Employer that the employee has the physical capability to perform her normal job. Safety Insurance day, For the purposes of Article (Workplace Safety Insurance) of the Central Collective Agreement “sixty-five (65) working days” shall be deemed to be (471 or 520) hours.

Safety Insurance. When a teacher is eligible for, and receives approval of claim by the Worker's Safety Insurance Board:

L12.04 A teacher who is unable to perform the Teacher’s regular duties because of a condition compensable under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act shall receive such benefits as awarded by WSIB. In addition to WSIB benefits, the Board shall provide for a top-up such that the Teacher shall receive full salary and benefits.
(a) The top-up amount shall be paid for a maximum of four years and six months.
(b) If, as a result of an accident, an employee received benefits under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 in respect of the first workday in the 2012-2013 fiscal year, the employee’s entitlement to be topped up for four years and six months shall be reduced by the length of time for which the employee received benefits under that Act as a result of that accident.
(c) The Teacher will comply with all directions given by W.S.I.B. as it relates to the benefit program. Failure to comply will result in the stoppage of any further payments by the Board to the Teacher.
L12.05 A Teacher must provide at least five (5) teaching days notice to the Board of their intent to return to their position following a prolonged illness and whose position is being temporarily filled by a Long Term Occasional Teacher.
