SCHOOL YEAR/SCHOOL DAY. 22.01 The Board shall establish a School Year Calendar for the following year by May 1st. The length of the school year shall be equal to the minimum number of days required under the Education Act and the Regulations thereunder. Every effort shall be made to allow for the maximum number of Professional Activity days to occur either at the end of each school semester or school year.

SCHOOL YEAR/SCHOOL DAY. 1. The salary schedule shall be for a teacher year of 185 days including 180 pupil instruction days and, two (2) in-service days and three (3) clerical days. The clerical days shall be positioned on the school calendar by the Board to occur as follows: one (1) day prior to school opening, one (1) day after the last student day, and one (1) day at mid-term. However, the clerical days shall contain a period of time, not to exceed two (2) hours, which may be used at the discretion of the Superintendent. If a new teacher(s), the teacher year shall include, in addition to the above, an additional day for orientation. In the event that the start of school should be delayed, for any reason beyond the control of the Board, or should school be interrupted for a like reason, the end of the school year may be extended to insure that the total number of school days and in-service days are completed.

The length of the teaching personnel school year during this contract will be 183 days, with the option of the District to increase the number of teaching personnel days to 184 days with such additional day designated as “professional development day”.

SCHOOL YEAR/SCHOOL DAY. Hours of Operation‌ Madrone Trail shall operate an instructional program in accordance with Section 4.B of this contract, unless otherwise stated in this contract. The school calendar shall be similar but may vary from the District’s school calendar. Madrone Trail will meet or exceed all instructional hour requirements in OAR 581-022-1620. Madrone Trail will determine and publish its school calendar annually, and will provide a copy to the District and the public no later ten (10) business days after the Medford School District calendar has been approved. Madrone Trail will maintain a typical nine-month school year for its regular academic program. Madrone Trail may also operate summer programs and intersession programs if sufficient funds are available.

  • School Year 8.1.3. Teacher assignable time will be capped at 1200 hours per school year.

  • School Day A. The length of the school day shall be seven (7) hours and five (5) minutes inclusive of the arrival and departure time.

  • School Year Employees All hourly employees compensated under “Hourly Schedule A” and regularly employed for the hours in that position considered full time by the Employer for the school year.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • DURATION OF SCHOOL DAY AND YEAR 33C) The duration of the school day and year will be the responsibility of the Academy Trust.
