Search and Confiscation. EF Academy retains the right to conduct a search upon reasonable belief that a student is in possession of any materials that are in violation of school rules and/or the law. A student who refuses to cooperate is subject to the same procedures and discipline as a student who has been found to possess such materials. – EF Academy may search students, their dorm rooms, and their possessions without their consent or without their presence for any of the following items, contraband, or illegal item such as but not limited to: suspected knives, weapons (real or fake), alcohol, illegal drugs, legal highs, drugs paraphernalia, stolen items, tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, fireworks, laser pointers, pornographic images and any article that has been or is likely to be used to commit an offence or cause personal injury to, or damage the personal property of, any member of our EF Academy community. – When possible, a search of a student’s room will be undertaken by designated staff members nominated by the Head of School. All confiscated items will become the property of EF Academy and will not be returned to the student or parents/guardians. Fire Protection:‌ – In the event of a fire alarm, all students MUST immediately exit the building through the nearest emergency exit and proceed to the designated gathering area. Students who intentionally disobey these rules and elect to ignore the fire alarm will be subject to disciplinary sanctions. – Students must never hang things on or tamper with fire protection devices, such as sprinkler heads, smoke detectors, and fire strobes. Students will be responsible for personal property damage if they disobey these rules and set off sprinkler heads. Students found tampering with any fire protection or other fire safety device could be subject to a fine and disciplinary sanctions. – Boarding Students are not allowed to have or lease a car, motorbike, or moped on school premises, or drive a vehicle while off campus. – Day students who are licensed to drive in the State of California may apply for permission to drive on campus and to park in designated spots. Requests will be reviewed and approved at the sole discretion of the Senior Leadership Team. Students are prohibited from driving other students in their vehicles.   • Environmental and Social Safeguards All of the Projects will be implemented in compliance with the MCC Environmental Guidelines and the MCC Gender Policy, and any resettlement will be carried out in accordance with the World Bank’s Operational Policy on Involuntary Resettlement in effect as of July 2007 (“OP 4.12”) in a manner acceptable to MCC. In accordance with its policies, the Government will ensure that the Projects comply with all national environmental laws and regulations, licenses and permits, except to the extent such compliance would be inconsistent with this Compact. Specifically, the Government will: (a) cooperate with or complete, as the case may be, any ongoing environmental assessments, or if necessary undertake and complete any additional environmental assessments, social assessments, environmental management plans, environmental and social audits, resettlement policy frameworks, and resettlement action plans required under the laws of Indonesia, the MCC Environmental Guidelines, this Compact, the PIA, or any Supplemental Agreement, or as otherwise required by MCC, each in form and substance satisfactory to MCC; (b) ensure that Project-specific environmental and social management plans are developed and all relevant measures contained in such plans are integrated into project design, the applicable procurement documents and associated finalized contracts, in each case, in form and substance satisfactory to MCC; and (c) implement to MCC’s satisfaction appropriate environmental and social mitigation measures identified in such assessments or plans. Unless MCC agrees otherwise in writing, the Government will fund all necessary costs of environmental and social mitigation measures (including, without limitation, costs of resettlement) not specifically provided for, or that exceed the MCC Funding specifically allocated for such costs in, the Detailed Financial Plan for any Project. To maximize the positive social impacts of the Projects, address cross-cutting social and gender issues such as human trafficking, child and forced labor, and HIV/AIDS, and to ensure compliance with the MCC Gender Policy, the Government will: (x) develop a comprehensive social and gender integration plan which, at a minimum, identifies approaches for regular, meaningful and inclusive consultations with women and other vulnerable/underrepresented groups, consolidates the findings and recommendations of Project-specific social and gender analyses and sets forth strategies for incorporating findings of the social and gender analyses into final Project designs as appropriate (“Social and Gender Integration Plan”); and (y) ensure, through monitoring and coordination during implementation, that final Activity designs, construction tender documents and implementation plans are consistent with and incorporate the outcomes of the social and gender analyses and social and gender integration plan. To address gender concerns that impact women’s ability to participate across Projects, MCA- Indonesia will adopt a detailed workplan, subject to MCC approval, for gender work to be undertaken at the policy, institutional capacity building and community levels (the “Targeted Gender Activities”). Xxxxx XX sets forth the MCC Funding allocated for the performance of the Targeted Gender Activities. Prior to the second disbursement of MCC Funding for the Targeted Gender Activities, MCA-Indonesia shall have completed detailed action plans and provided evidence of demonstrated commitment of relevant stakeholders to addressing policy constraints identified in the workplan.

  • Onboarding The parties acknowledge that the City provides a new employee orientation (onboarding) to each new employee hired by the City. As such, the Union will be provided with not less than 10 calendar days’ advanced notice of the time, date, and location of the onboarding of any new employee represented by the Union. The Union will be given 30- minutes at the start of the new employee onboarding in a room designated by the City for no more than one (1) representative to present Union membership information. The City representative will excuse him or herself during the Union portion of the onboarding. The Union agrees in its portion of the onboarding not to engage in speech that could cause disruption or material interference with City activities. The City will provide 30 minutes of Union Release Time to the Union representative presenting the Union membership information during the scheduled onboarding. The Union shall provide the Union representative’s immediate supervisor with the Union representative’s name at least five (5) days prior to the onboarding. The Union representative shall be released for this purpose unless unusual operation needs interfere with such release in which case the Union representative’s immediate supervisor will provide a written explanation of why release could not be approved. If the Union representative is not released due to department operational needs, the Union representative may arrange an alternative date and time to meet with the newly hired employee within the first two (2) weeks of employment, subject to the 30-minutes onboarding and Union Release Time requirements as stipulated above.
