OnboardingThe parties acknowledge that the City provides a new employee orientation (onboarding) to each new employee hired by the City. As such, the Union will be provided with not less than 10 calendar days’ advanced notice of the time, date, and location of the onboarding of any new employee represented by the Union. The Union will be given 30- minutes at the start of the new employee onboarding in a room designated by the City for no more than one (1) representative to present Union membership information. The City representative will excuse him or herself during the Union portion of the onboarding. The Union agrees in its portion of the onboarding not to engage in speech that could cause disruption or material interference with City activities. The City will provide 30 minutes of Union Release Time to the Union representative presenting the Union membership information during the scheduled onboarding. The Union shall provide the Union representative’s immediate supervisor with the Union representative’s name at least five (5) days prior to the onboarding. The Union representative shall be released for this purpose unless unusual operation needs interfere with such release in which case the Union representative’s immediate supervisor will provide a written explanation of why release could not be approved. If the Union representative is not released due to department operational needs, the Union representative may arrange an alternative date and time to meet with the newly hired employee within the first two (2) weeks of employment, subject to the 30-minutes onboarding and Union Release Time requirements as stipulated above.
Onboarding. The Association and the District will jointly prepare and present onboarding meetings with new hires prior to the start of school. These meetings will be limited to approximately 20 members each. New hires after the start of the school year will receive similar onboarding opportunities in either small groups or individually within 15 workdays.
Onboarding. It is in the Government’s interest that an adequate number of STARS III Contractors remain eligible to compete for Orders over the entire Master Contract ordering period. Recognizing this, the GSA reserves the right to periodically review the total number of Contractors participating in the STARS III ordering process and onboard additional Contractors if doing so is necessary to meet its acquisition goals. This is a discretionary unilateral authority of the GSA. STARS III provides various onboarding methods after the initial contract awards are made, equipping GSA with efficient and effective flexibilities. Onboarding i. Upon receiving a request that GOSR has a temporary staffing need, Contractor shall seek out temporary staff to submit to GOSR for consideration. Prior to submitting candidates to GOSR, Contractor must complete Step 1 of the Employment Verification and Background Check in Section 3(b)(i) of this Exhibit A. ii. Contractor shall provide no fewer than three (3) prospective temporary staff for GOSR’s consideration within five (5) days of receiving such request. iii. If the prospective temporary staff are deemed unsatisfactory, for whatever reason and at GOSR’s sole discretion, then Contractor shall provide an additional pool of at least three (3) prospective temporary staff until such time as GOSR either deems a candidate satisfactory or cancels such request. iv. Upon notification by GOSR that a qualified temporary staff candidate has been identified, the Contractor will complete Step 2 of the Employment Verification and Background Check in Section 3(b)(ii) of this Exhibit A. v. If the prospective temporary staff candidate successfully passes the Employment Verification and Background Screening in both Sections 3(b)(i)-(ii), the sufficiency of which will be determined at GOSR’s sole discretion, then Contractor shall make an offer of employment to the identified candidate(s).
