Section 2 - Personal Leave. Upon written application, an employee may be granted a personal leave of absence at the sole discretion of the University for a maximum duration of six (6) months which may not be extended. Such leave must be for justifiable reasons and must not adversely affect University operations. If, without the consent of the University, the employee accepts employment elsewhere during the leave of absence, the employee shall be terminated. Salary and benefits are not continued during a personal leave.

Section 2 - Personal Leave. A full-time teacher will be granted three (3) days (24 hours) of personal leave per year. Requests for personal leave must be made at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance except in the event of an emergency. A teacher may accumulate personal leave from year to year with an unlimited accumulation of hours. All personal leave will be accounted for on an hourly basis in increments of two hours (rounded up to the nearest two-hour increment).

Section 2 - Personal Leave. 1904 The Employer shall give consideration to granting employees nonemergency personal leaves of absence without pay. Non-emergency leaves of absence may be granted for specific time periods not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days.
