SRO Training. In accordance with state law, the SRO shall receive ongoing professional development in: (1) child and adolescent development, (2) conflict resolution, and (3) diversion strategies.

SRO Training. In accordance with Section 10-20.68 of the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/10-20.68), beginning January 1, 2021, the City shall provide the District with a certificate of completion, of approved waiver, issued by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board under Section 10.22 of the Illinois Police Training Act, indicating that the SROs have completed the requisite course of instruction in the applicable subject areas within one year of assignment. This requirement may be waived if the SRO has prior experience and training that satisfies this requirement. The SRO shall attend specified training on topics the District deems important, as specified in Exhibit D, which Exhibit may be amended by the District’s Superintendent and the Chief of Police or their designees without further approval by the Board of Education or the City Council. Where practicable, the District shall also encourage school administrators working with SROs to undergo training with SROs to enhance their understanding of the SRO’s role and the issues encountered by the SRO.
SRO Training. The Agency shall ensure that the SRO maintains minimum in-service training and certification requirements as would normally apply to all other certified officers in the Agency in addition to any training and certification required under this MOU.
SRO Training. Basic SRO training shall be provided to all new SROs prior to commencement of employment as an SRO, or as soon as reasonably possible after commencement of employment. Basic SRO training may be obtained through the Colorado Association of SROs, the National Association of SROs or any other organization which provides similar approved training. Any costs or expenses associated with basic SRO training will be shared equally between the District and the City. 6.1.1 Each year this Program is in effect, the City will provide a list of required training for the SROs. The list of required training is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit B. 6.1.2 The City will be responsible for ensuring the SROs complete the required training and will maintain records evidencing completion of the training. Such records will be provided to the District upon request. 6.1.3 To the extent possible, monthly in-service training required by the City shall be on District non-student contact days.

SRO Training. By January 31, 2017, and by the same date annually thereafter, the District will provide training to all District SROs that explains the District’s obligations under Title VI, the changes being made to the District’s engagement of SROs, the District’s expectations under the revised engagement, and the District’s revised student discipline policies, procedures, and practices. This may be conducted along with other SRO training provided by the District, if any. The District will also develop an orientation program for all SROs newly assigned to the District if the SRO begins work for the District more than two months before the annual training that is the same as the annual SRO training. The training and orientation will explain: 1. the distinction between disciplinary infractions appropriately handled by school officials for which SROs should not be involved, and threats to school safety or serious school-based criminal conduct that cannot be safely and appropriately handled by the school’s administrative procedures; 2. the SROs’ role in ensuring a safe and orderly educational environment and the fair and equitable treatment of all District students in relation to discipline; 3. information on how to work with the District’s students in a manner consistent with the Agreement and the resources available to the SROs to assist them in this regard; 4. the District’s discipline policy, the definitions of offense categories, the specific manner in which progressive disciplinary consequences will be employed, if applicable, the circumstances under which deviations from established policies and procedures may be justified, and resources that are available to students to assist them in developing social emotional competencies; 5. the District’s commitment to recognizing and reinforcing positive student behavior and to ensuring, to the maximum extent possible and permitted by and consistent with law, that misbehavior is addressed in a manner that does not require exclusion from the educational program; 6. the District’s obligations to ensure that all District programs and its engagement and use of SROs are administered in a nondiscriminatory manner. Reporting Requirements: By June 30, 2017, and by the same date annually thereafter, the District will provide documentation to OCR of the training provided by the District in accordance with this item, the name(s) of the person(s) who delivered the training, and a description with supporting documentation of the person’s ...

During the SRO’s first semester of assignment to District properties and at least annually thereafter, the SRO shall receive ten (10) hours of annual in-service trainings, provided by the District, including, but not limited to the following topics: X. Xxxxx and adolescent development psychology. B. Positive behavior interventions and support, conflict resolution, peer mediation, and other restorative techniques; C. Positive interaction with students in a campus setting; D. Children with disabilities or other special needs; E. Cultural competency; F. Bully prevention; and, G. Confidentiality

SRO Training. The City will provide all required instruction and training to the SRO as required by Xxxx. Stat. §626.8482, subds. 3, 4, and 6 as may be amended from time to time. The City shall provide the District documentation that the applicable instruction and training requirements have been satisfied prior to an SRO assuming duties at the District.
SRO Training. The Police Department and the School District recognize the importance and value of having SROs specially trained to work effectively within school settings and with youth. As such, all SROs will successfully complete the following training requirements, or their equivalency, prior to starting in their position or as soon as practicable based on the availability of the training(s).
