TEMPORARY STAFF. Employees in any group who have not been appointed to the permanent staff pursuant to Article 3.06.
(a) Temporary Project Employees shall be employees hired for a specified period of time, or, for the completion of a specific job, or, until the occurrence of a specified event. Employees under this designation will not normally work for more than eight (8) months; however, in the event such a requirement exists, the Union shall be notified of any duration in excess of eight (8) months. (Employees shall be paid the minimum rate of pay in the classification that they are hired into).
(b) Substitute Caretakers and/or Substitute Cleaners are temporary employees hired as replacements for staff or to provide temporary service.
(c) General Labourers (High School Students) are temporary employees hired as temporary replacements for staff or to provide temporary service to the Division.
(d) Seasonal Labourers (University Students) are temporary employees working on grounds and/or doing miscellaneous duties normally performed by utility staff. It is understood that during inclement weather, Seasonal Labourers may be assigned to “other” duties. Seasonal Labourers may be employed in the months of March through December.
(e) Temporary Project Employees, General Labourers, Seasonal Labourers and Substitute Caretakers/Substitute Cleaners shall be entitled to all rights and benefits of the Collective Agreement, subject to the conditions established by the master contracts for benefit plans, except temporary project employees, General Labourers, Seasonal Labourers and Substitute Caretakers/Substitute Cleaners shall have no seniority rights.
TEMPORARY STAFF. 8.1 You must contact Show Support immediately via telephone in the event of an accident and/or injury to Temporary Staff.
8.2 Show Support will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that Temporary Staff providing the Services in a corporate environment wear appropriate attire, namely neat long black pants, jeans or cargo pants in winter, black shorts in summer, black safety boots with steel caps and the Show Support grey (or black for Crew Chiefs) short sleeved 100% cotton polo shirt.
8.3 You agree to ensure that Temporary Staff are able to reasonably and safely return to their residences after providing Services. Without limiting the foregoing provisions:
8.3.1 You must ensure that the Temporary Staff finish each event at the same place that they started working on the event, or provide the Temporary Staff with a taxi fare or safe transport home;
8.3.2 You cannot leave Temporary Staff stranded at the end of a job.
8.4 Notwithstanding clause 8.3(a), if You wish for Temporary Staff to return to Your factory or other premises outside of Business Hours:
8.4.1 You must advise Show Support of this at the time of the Booking;
8.4.2 Show Support will endeavour to get someone on the bump out that has transport for the crew to transport the Temporary Staff back to the residences of those Temporary Staff. If Show Support is unable to do so You must provide the Temporary Staff with a taxi fare or safe transport to their residences.
8.5 You agree that the following is prohibited:
8.5.1 Treating Temporary Staff in a hostile, threatening or derogatory manner;
8.5.2 Yelling at, screaming at or speaking down to Temporary Staff;
8.5.3 Refusing Temporary Staff their allocated Breaks.
8.6 You must ensure that Temporary Staff are treated with respect and with at least the same level of due respect that Your own employees are treated with, including in relation to the provision of meals and breaks. Without limiting the foregoing provisions, during any event the subject of a Booking, if You provide Your employees with meals or catering You must also provide Temporary Staff with meals and catering.
8.7 You must not use the word “loader” in a derogatory way when referring to Temporary Staff.
8.8 You must permit any Temporary Staff to have a 10 minute rest break in the case of any disputes, arguments or ugly incidents occurring.
8.9 You must ensure, encourage, and adopt a culture of promoting, a safe working environment at each event the subject of a Booking.
TEMPORARY STAFF a) A temporary staff representative, under this Agreement, means those employed for a period of less than six (6) months total accumulated time and shall be entitled to all benefits of this Agreement. Notice will be given to the Staff Union of all temporary staff, the reason, and the approximate duration of employment. This six (6) month period may be extended by mutual agreement.
b) Temporary staff representatives, as outlined above, who subsequently become permanent shall have such service counted for the purposes of seniority and vacation entitlement.
c) The number of temporary staff shall not exceed ten (10) percent of the bargaining unit, except by mutual agreement.
d) In addition to the above, it is agreed that CAW may employ, at any time, up to ten
TEMPORARY STAFF. The Employer in good faith will not seek to abolish permanent bargaining unit positions and replace them with temporary help. Further, the Employer will not make a practice of employing temporary help in positions that could be filled by regular part-time or full-time employees. This provision shall not prevent or control the Employer’s right to participate in bona fide training programs.
TEMPORARY STAFF. (70) The CHR agrees that the use of temporary staff will not erode or otherwise limit the size of the bargaining unit. The use of temporary staff is intended to minimize disruptions that may be caused by the absence of CHR employees or other unusual circumstances.
(71) For temporary positions, the Chief Xxxxxxx shall be notified in writing of all temporary vacancies or positions, exceeding five (5) days in length, at the time of approval. The written notification will include the position title, the employee to be replaced, if applicable, the work to be performed in the temporary position and the duration of the position as approved.
(72) Under normal circumstances, temporary staff may be utilized to fill vacancies in identified bargaining unit positions within the CHR structure for a period not to exceed ninety (90) calendar days, unless mutually agreed in writing by Union and CHR to extend the length of the assignment. The CHR will not circumvent this CBA by rotating temporary staff in the same bargaining unit position beyond the agreed upon ninety (90) day period. In the event of a temporary vacancy where the position has been posted and cannot be filled under the provisions of Article 12 (Vacancies and Postings), the CHR may use its discretion in filling the position, which may include the use of temporary staff for a period not to exceed one (1) year. In such case where the temporary vacancy has been open for six (6) months, the CHR will re-post the position in order to attempt to fill the position under the provisions of Article 12 (Vacancies and Postings). The re-posting applies only to primary openings.
(73) The CHR shall notify the Chief Xxxxxxx in writing on a monthly basis of temporary staff.
(74) Temporary staff may also be utilized to provide short-term support for UAW-GM task assignments, or to perform other jobs, which are not expected to become regular bargaining unit positions. The CHR will meet with the Chief Xxxxxxx to discuss such short-term task assignments to determine the likelihood of their becoming regular full-time or regular part-time assignments.
(75) In the event the CHR retains a temporary employee past the agreed to period, the employee will become a seniority employee with credit for time worked as a temporary.
(76) Temporary employees who have worked at least ninety (90) days will annually be eligible for fifteen (15) hours of unpaid time off work which must be scheduled in advance and approved by the lead person/supervisor...

TEMPORARY STAFF. 18:01 The parties acknowledge temporary staff may be required on an as-needed basis where:
(a) A specialized skill set is necessary which the Employing Authority determines does not exist within the Office, or
(b) The Employing Authority determines there is a need for additional resources on a time-limited and project-based basis.
(c) The Union will be notified when temporary staff are hired, along with the duration and scope of the work assignment.
(d) The Employing Authority will discuss with the Union if there is a change in the scope of work assignment or duration of the temporary worker.
TEMPORARY STAFF. 3.1 The Customer will pay the Fees as outlined below and using rates agreed in writing for each Temporary Worker, for each hour actually worked by the Temporary Worker. The Fee applicable for each Temporary Placement shall be calculated in accordance with the following table: Base Candidate Rate = A A + National Insurance = B B + Holiday Pay = C C + Mark Up = D D = Charge to GroupM £X per hour, to be agreed individually with each candidate (negotiable not statutory) B = A+ 12.8% C = B+ 8.3%* D = C + 16% D *statutory rate applies
3.2 The Supplier will submit invoices to the Customer weekly and will pay the Temporary Worker promptly on a weekly or monthly basis.
3.3 National Insurance contributions shall be calculated on the actual amount paid to the Temporary Worker by the Supplier.
TEMPORARY STAFF. 34.03.01 Temporary Staff include employees hired, for a defined period of time not to exceed ten (10) months, to replace an absent employee or as a result of excessive workload or new one-time initiatives.
TEMPORARY STAFF. A person carrying out work at the employer without being an employee as defined in this CLA and who, other than on the basis of an assignment contract with the employer or a contract for services concluded by the employer with a third party, performs work at the employer on a temporary basis. Holiday staff and students who during their education act as interns, graduate or for other reasons perform temporary work at the employer in the context of their study, are not temporary staff for the purpose of this CLA. Your individual job salary divided by 52 times the agreed weekly working hours. Pupils, students and other persons following a study course, who in conjunction with their study temporarily perform work during their institution's (summer) holiday and do not subsequently perform work in the service of the employer.
