If the balance of sick leave under this clause works out at less than 5 days per year then the principal shall be entitled to up to 5 days sick leave on pay per year. Once the principal has completed a single period of service in table B (e.g., over 5 years and up to 10 years) the sick leave on pay provisions in clause 7.3.2 and clause 7.3.3 shall apply. The principal's entry point on Table A shall be worked out according to the principal’s years of service (service for this purpose is defined in clause 7.4). Any sick leave entitlement under Table B remaining after the completion of the relevant period of service and any other sick leave entitlements under this agreement shall be accumulated. In exceptional circumstances the employer may grant sick leave with pay in anticipation of future entitlements under Table B, provided that no extension may be granted beyond 306 days. Before approving any such extension the employer shall ensure that any extension complies with any funding arrangements applying to the school.

Transitional Sick Leave. An employee who immediately prior to this agreement coming into force had their sick leave entitlement determined under Appendix A of the Kaiarahi i te Reo, ATSSD and Special Education AssistantsCollective Agreement 2004-2005 shall on their next anniversary date retain any unused entitlement, as calculated under Table B or C (as appropriate) of that agreement and 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 of this agreement shall apply. The employee’s entry point on Table A shall be worked out according to the employee’s years of service.

  • Additional Sick Leave In unusual cases of prolonged illness the Township Committee may, by resolution, grant Sick Leave at one-half (½) rate of pay to an Employee over the time allowed and available for use in Section 2. hereinbefore set forth in this Article to a maximum of twenty-six

  • Annual Sick Leave All full-time employees (i.e. hours per week) shall be entitled to twenty (20) days of sick leave per year. An employee joining the Board staff during the year shall be given current sick leave credits on the basis of days for each months' employment. The sick leave entitlement for part-time employees shall be according to time worked.

  • Personal Sick Leave The following provisions will apply to all employees (other than casual employees) covered by this Agreement.

  • Short Term Sick Leave 8. Each school year, an employee absent beyond the eleven (11) sick leave days paid at 100% of salary, as noted in section 2 above, shall be entitled up to an additional one hundred and twenty (120) days short term sick leave to be paid at a rate of 90 per cent of the employee’s regular salary if the employee is absent due to personal illness including medical appointments as per the collective agreement provisions and practices in effect as at August 31, 2012.

  • SICK LEAVE PROGRAM An employee may be eligible to receive donations of paid leave to be included in the employee's sick leave balance if s/he has suffered a catastrophic illness or injury which prevents the employee from being able to work or from being able to work his/her regularly scheduled number of hours. Catastrophic illness or injury is defined as a critical medical condition considered to be terminal, or a long-term major physical impairment or disability.

  • Cumulative Sick Leave Plan Each employee shall accumulate sick leave with pay entitlement at the rate of one-half work day for each full bi-weekly pay period on paid status up to a maximum accumulation of 155 days of unused sick leave with pay entitlement.

  • Family Sick Leave An employee may use Family Sick Leave for the illness of a member of the employee's immediate family who requires the care and assistance of the employee. Up to eighty (80) hours per calendar year of the employee’s accumulated unused sick leave may be used for this purpose.

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • Cumulative Sick Leave 16.1 Employees covered by this collective agreement will carry forward their accumulated sick leave days from the predecessor school boards to a maximum of 280 days. Effective September 1, 1999 employees (other than temporary employees) shall be credited with two (2) days of sick leave for each month of active full time service to a yearly maximum of 20 days for ten month employees. Effective September 1, 2003 100% of the unused days each year are accumulated, to a possible sick leave total of three hundred (300) days. Sick leave days will be pro-rated for part-time employment.
