UNIFORMS AND SAFETY FOOTWEAR. 26.01 If Canadian Blood Services requires uniforms and/or protective clothing to be worn at work, employees shall be supplied with uniforms and/or an allowance in accordance with existing practice.

The Employer shall provide seven (7) shirts, five (5) pants, one heavy and one light jacket on a basis for Meter Technicians and Serviceman classifications.,
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY FOOTWEAR. Such employees shall receive vacation pay and paid holidays as provided by the Ontario Employment Standards Act. Payment of vacation entitlement shall be with each regular pay. Such employees shall not in any way displace full-time employees nor will they be retained or granted work or overtime in preference to full-time or part-time employees who normally perform the work. Such employees may apply for a posted vacancy and will receive consideration for such vacancy before a new employee is hired. Employees employed under a Government Employment Program shall not perform regular bargaining unit work but shall only be employed for specific tasks which would not have been done had the Government Programs not been available.

UNIFORMS AND SAFETY FOOTWEAR. Footwear All bargaining unit employees, including temporary and probationary employees must wear approved safety footwear at all times while on duty. Effective January I, each permanent, full-time employee who has completed the probationary period shall receive a footwear allowance per calendar year in accordance with the employee’s classification as set out below. Permanent, part-time employees shall receive the allowance every second year. Payment shall be made on the first payroll in January. Custodians, Chief Custodians, Maintenanceand Stores Employees: (Green patch safety boots must be worn) All others: (safety shoes must be worn) Employees in the Security Monitor classification are exempt from the requirement to wear uniforms and safety footwear, as well as the entitlement to uniform allotment and footwear allowance. Paragraphs and remain in force through to August Effective September those provisions shall be replaced, as follows: A voucher will be provided annually to Custodians and Maintenance Employees, annually to Cleaners, for the purpose of purchasing Board approved apparel and/or safety footwear. It is understood that safety footwear must be purchased at least once every two years, and that Board approved uniforms must be worn while on duty. Further, identification crests must not be removed from any uniforms or parts thereof. A voucher will also be issued for new hires, on the understanding that this first voucher will be used for approved apparel. All bargaining unit members, including temporary and probationary employees must wear approved safety footwear at all times while on duty. Further, the Board will provide overalls to schools and maintenance employees as required. ARTICLE FIRST AID KITS First aid kits shall be supplied and maintained by the Board and kept in places easily accessible to all employees.

UNIFORMS AND SAFETY FOOTWEAR. 41.01 Whenever items of clothing are supplied to officers as per the Employer’s policy, or where the Employer has identified positions where the wearing of safety footwear is mandatory and the officers are in receipt of the safety footwear allowance, the officers shall wear the clothing and safety footwear whenever they are on duty in accordance with the departmental regulations. ARTICLE 42 NATIONAL JOINT COUNCIL AGREEMENTS 42.01 Agreements concluded by the National Joint Council of the Public Service on items which may be included in a collective agreement, and which the parties to this agreement, have endorsed after December 6, 1978, will form part of this collective agreement, subject to the Public Service Staff Relations Act (PSSRA) and any legislation by Parliament that has been or may be, as the case may be, established pursuant to any Act specified in Schedule III of the PSSRA.
