Clothing and Safety Footwear. The following clothing will be supplied to all employees (after one (1) month of commencement) and will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis. The issue will be: • 1 pair of safety boots • 6 shirts or shorts/trousers, or any combination as agreed Not withstanding the above, 1 pair of safety boots will be supplied to the employee on commencement for new entrants to the industry. The employer shall supply sun-screen lotion and sun brims to fit over safety helmets.
Clothing and Safety Footwear. The following clothing will be supplied to all employees (after the completion of the probation period) and will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis. The issue will be: • 1 pair of safety boots • 1 pair of gum boots • 2 sloppy joes
Clothing and Safety Footwear. (a) The Employer, on proof of purchase, shall reimburse each Employee up to one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per calendar year toward the purchase of C.S.A. approved safety footwear to each Employee who is required to wear such footwear and who has demonstrated need for new safety footwear. The Employee will be allowed to accumulate the amount for up to two (2) years.
(b) The Employer, on proof of purchase, shall reimburse each Employee up to one hundred dollars ($100.00) per calendar year toward the purchase of swim suits to each Employee who is required to wear a swim suit and who has demonstrated need for a new swim suit.
(c) All permanent Employees in the Public Works, and Recreation and Parks Departments will be issued up to a maximum of two (2) sets of regular coveralls and one (1) set of insulated coveralls per calendar year. All coveralls will be replaced on an as needed basis, up to the previously defined maximums per calendar year. Replacements are to be approved by the City of Xxxxxx.
(d) The Employer, on proof of purchase, shall reimburse all permanent Employees in the Facilities department and the Handibus Drivers, who have demonstrated a need for rainwear or inclement weather clothing and who are required to wear such clothing, up to one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) per calendar year. The Employee will be allowed to accumulate the amount for up to two (2) years.
(e) All Community Peace Officers employed by the City in the Protective Services Department, upon confirmation of employment will be issued the following uniform: • 3 Shirts • 3 Pants • 1 Cap • 1 Duty Belt
• 1 Winter Hat
• 1 All-season Jacket • 1 Pair of Boots • 1 Body Armour • 1 Pair of Handcuffs & Pouch • 1 Baton & Holder • 1 Pepper Spray & Holder The City retains the right to approve or deny any request to replace any worn, destroyed or lost Community Peace Officer uniform issue items.
(f) All Bylaw Enforcement Officers employed by the City, upon confirmation of employment will be issued the following uniform • 3 Shirts
Clothing and Safety Footwear. 10.3.1 The following clothing shall be supplied to all employees upon engagement and will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis:
▪ 1 windcheater or 1 bluey jacket (Note: if a bluey is issued then the Company does not expect to provide a replacement windcheater or bluey until the bluey is genuinely replaceable through fair wear and tear). ▪ Where applicable the employer shall provide sun protection e.g. tinted safety glasses, wide brims for hard hats and sun screen. Employees when working on site are required to wear the footwear, clothing and safety protection supplied including applying sunscreen when appropriate.
10.3.2 Wherever possible all clothing supplied shall be of Australian manufacture. .

Where an employee has not sought replacement of any of the above mentioned items on a fair wear and tear basis within twelve months from the date of issue, then that employee will be entitled to a re-issue of the item at the completion of that twelve months. The company shall supply sun-screen lotion and sun brims to fit over safety helmets.

The company recommends long sleeve shirts and trousers for outdoor work In addition to the above 1 pair of safety boots will be supplied to the employee on commencement. Employees when working on site are required to wear all footwear and clothing supplied. If the site rules dictate long sleeves and trousers, employees must comply from their free issue. All of the above mentioned items will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis. Where an employee has not sought replacement of any of the above mentioned items on a fair wear and tear basis within twelve months from the date of issue, then that employee will be entitled to a re-issue of the item at the completion of that twelve months. All items will be made in Australia where possible and will comply with the relevant Australian Standards (AS). Relevant AS include but are not limited to AS 4399:96, AS 2919:87, AS2210.1:94, AS1800:98 and AS1801:97. The clothing selected will need to be breathable, consist of reflective material where applicable, be light weight, UV stable, have a high visibility quality and have the maximum UPF rating (50+). No agreement to pay cash in lieu of supply of clothing / footwear is permitted. The company shall hold available sunscreen lotion and sun brims to fit over safety helmets for use when required.
Clothing and Safety Footwear. 14.4.1 With the exception of casual and labour hire employees, the following protective clothing will be issued to all Employees annually or on a fair wear and tear basis: • three pairs of overalls or trousers • two pairs of shorts • three long or short sleeve polo shirts and two windcheaters, or a combination thereof • one ‘4 in 1’ High Visibility jacket - issued as required. All windcheaters, overalls and shirts will carry the Company logo. It is the Employee’s responsibility to organise replacement clothing with the employer in instances of disrepair caused by higher than normal wear and tear. On leaving the Company, Employees must return all Company issued clothing before their termination payment will be made. The Company will ensure that casual employees are suitably attired for the work to be undertaken.
14.4.2 Employees when working on site or attending Company sponsored events during working hours (i.e. training) are required to wear the clothing supplied and will be responsible for laundering their uniform.
14.4.3 The Company will pay an annual Safety Footwear allowance of $115.00 to Employees other than casual or labour hire Employees for the purchase of suitable safety footwear. This allowance will be reviewed if the cost of a standard pair of boots increases during the life of the agreement. The Company agrees to replace the Employee’s footwear on a fair wear and tear basis in the event that the work environment or the nature of the work being undertaken leads to premature wear. Where site specific rules require the use of specialist safety footwear (i.e. in electrical or secure facilities which prohibit steel toecaps), the Company agrees to meet the additional cost of the higher specification footwear.

When working on site employees are required to wear all P.P.E and clothing supplied. All of the above mentioned items will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis and may be provided in two (2) instalments over twelve (12) months. No agreement to pay cash in lieu of supply of clothing/footwear is permitted.

12.2 Employees when working on site are required to wear safety footwear and any personal protective equipment that is supplied.
12.3 All of the above mentioned items will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis, excluding footwear.
12.4 No agreement to pay cash in lieu of supply of personal protective equipment, clothing or footwear is permitted.
