Vacation Carry Forward. Vacations shall not be cumulative from year to year. However, an Employee who wishes to carry forward up to forty (40) hours (forty-eight (48) hours for Employees in the Thermal Plant and in Security Services) (pro-rated for part-time) vacation to the following vacation year or requests vacation of up to forty (40) hours (forty- eight (48) hours for Employees in the Thermal Plant and in Security Services) (pro- rated for part-time) which would normally be scheduled in the following vacation year, may do so with the approval of the Employer provided in either case this is consistent with operational requirements and does not result in increased costs to the Employer.

Vacation Carry Forward. Should a Member have a scheduled vacation canceled by the action of the Chief of Police or by a Lieutenant, and if the vacation hours cannot be rescheduled during the Vacation Year; the Chief may request in writing to the City Manager permission to carry forward those vacation hours. Approval of the carry forward shall not unreasonably be withheld. No employee who has picked vacation time prior to the implementation of the change in Vacation Year shall have the time cancelled. For the period between on May 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013, employees shall be allowed to borrow up to one third of their total vacation allowance from the subsequent year. This option will be available only once for the special vacation period beginning May 1, 2013.

Vacation Carry Forward. Employees who have completed two (2) years of service, will be permitted to carry forward (carry over) a maximum of five (5) days vacation to be added to the next years vacation allotment, if written notice is given to the Employer by October 31 of each calendar year. The five (5) days vacation carry forwarded must be used within one (1) calendar year from the date requested. If the five (5) days vacation carry forwarded is not used by October 31 of the following calendar year, the Employer shall have the right to schedule the vacation on behalf of the Employee.

  • Vacation Carryover (a) A regular employee may carry over up to 10 days' vacation leave per year. Vacation carryover will not exceed 10 days at any time. An employee will not receive pay in lieu of vacation time, except upon retirement or termination, or as requested by the employee in Clause 18.13 (Vacation Payout).

  • Carry Forward and Transfer Employees will be allowed to carry forward, from year to year of service, any unused sick leave allowed under this provision, and will retain and carry forward any unused sick leave accumulated prior to the effective date of this Agreement.   • Carry Forward to a Subsequent Year If you do not withdraw the excess contribution, you may carry forward the contribution for a subsequent tax year. To do so, you under-contribute for that tax year and carry the excess contribution amount forward to that year on your tax return. The six percent excess contribution penalty tax will be imposed on the excess amount for each year that it remains as an excess contribution at the end of the year. You must file IRS Form 5329 along with your income tax return to report and remit any additional taxes to the IRS.

  • Sick Leave Accumulation a. All unused days of sick leave at full pay for all employees, shall accumulate to a maximum of two hundred ten (210) days. Such sick leave benefits so accrued will be usable after the annual full days allowed, and prior to any half pay benefits.

  • Vacation Accumulation (a) Vacations are not cumulative from year to year.

  • Sick Leave Accrual Full-time employees will accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave in a calendar month. Part- time employees will accrue sick leave credit on the same proportional basis that their employment schedule bears to a full-time schedule, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours in a calendar month.

  • Leave Balances The President and Vice-President will accrue vacation and sick leave during the period of absence; however, when the President and Vice President return to state service their leave balances will not exceed the employee’s leave balances on the date the period of absence commenced. If the President or Vice-President retire or separate from state service at the end of the period of absence, the employee’s leave balances will not exceed their leave balances on the date the period of absence commenced. Reporting of leave will be submitted to the Employer. All leave requests will be submitted within the required time limits.
