Vacation Guidelines. Employees will start to accrue vacation on a per pay period basis effective with their hire date, but the hours are not available for use until the pay period containing their 90th day of employment. Acquisition hours must be used prior to accessing newly accrued time as a Genesis employee. All paid hours, with the exception of overtime hours, will be utilized for the purposes of measuring vacation accrual.
Vacation Guidelines. (a) Vacation entitlement for nurses will be calculated as at their adjusted hire date in any year.
(b) Vacation guidelines for nurses will be reasonable and separate and apart from other hospital employees. All nurses shall receive vacation in accordance with Article 16.01 as of the Employer’s vacation entitlement determination date in any year.

The choice system would have rotations of choices, and a of weeks annual vacation can be booked between January December for each choice group during choice system e.g. weeks in July, week in August. two consecutive weeks allowed to be booked at one time until completion of the rotation choice system. The Public Works Department will run a skeleton crew for the first week of July and the last week of August. instead of a cap of employees offthese weeks, the cap would increase to employees. Extending prime time for the Works Department July I to August to June to September Employees would not be allowed to book time off initially as vacation, then change the time off to banked overtime. The choice system lists would only be posted for week each choice list instead of weeks per list. 3. Unless special arrangements have been made, the employee will not take more than three (3) weeks in one duration. With mutual agreement, the District reserves the right to buy (pay) up to one week of an employee who has earned four (4) full weeks of vacation.
4. The District reserves the right, with mutual agreement, to schedule the vacation time so as not to impair the District's operation or require the hiring of substitutes.
5. Employees who are terminated by the District will receive vacation pay earned.
6. In the event of a reduction in school calendar days, employees may elect in writing prior to the School Year in which the reduction has occurred to convert Vacation pay to cover all, or part, of the lost days in the calendar. The vacation pay shall be deducted from the Employee's vacation bank and added to their calendar prior to their first pay check. Vacation Guidelines. Extended tour nurses shall be allowed to take vacation entitlement units of not less than one (1) extended tour. for exceptional circumstances must be received by the Head Nurse no less than two (2) weeks advance of the day on which the schedule for the unit is posted. Such requests will be given every reasonable consideration subject to the responsibility of the Hospital to operate the institution in an efficient manner. Vacations shall be granted in accordance quotas established by the Hospital from with vacation time to time, which quotas shall not be unduly restrictive. Where extended tours exist in a nursing unit or where a combination of extended tours and normal tours exist in the same unit, either party may terminate this arrangement upon at least four (4) weeks' written notice to the other. Where eighty percent (80%) of the nurses in a particular nursing unit have indicated by secret ballot that they wish to return to a schedule consisting only of tours, they shall be permitted to do so. Where a combination of extended tours and tours exist in the same unit, understood that the ratio of extended tours and normal tours shall be maintained unless otherwise mutually agreed.

RE: NOTICE OF PLANT CLOSURE This will the assurance given to the Union during our contract negotiationsthat should a decision be made to totally and permanently close Plant, the Company will give the Union and employees a minimum of three months notice of such closure. Employees would receive any severance pay required under the Employment Standards Act plus weeks to a maximum of severance pay.
