WORK PERFORMED IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. An employee who is assigned to perform in a higher job classification for five (5) or more consecutive calendar days, shall be paid five percent (5%) above their current hourly wage for work temporarily performed in the higher classification; provided:
WORK PERFORMED IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. A. An employee assigned in writing to perform the duties in classification level Maintenance and Operations Crew Supervisor, Plant Operator Supervisor, or Electrician Supervisor or above for five (5) consecutive work days (or more) will be paid, for each hour the employee performs work or uses leave in the higher classification, a five percent (5%) premium pay for out-of-class work, or the minimum step of the salary range for the approved classification, whichever is greater; provided:
WORK PERFORMED IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. An employee who performs work in a higher job classification for ten (10) or more consecutive days shall be paid wages of the higher job classification for all the time he/she performs work in the higher classification; provided:
WORK PERFORMED IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. An employee who performs work in a higher job classification for five (5) or more consecutive days, inclusive of holidays, shall be paid at the higher classification’s wage for the duration of the assignment, including all compensable time except for compensatory time off. The temporary upgrade will be to the step on the pay scale of the higher classification that is closest to providing at least a five percent (5%) increase, or the minimum step of the salary range for the approved classification, whichever is greater.; provided:

An employee who performs work in a higher job classification for five (5) or more consecutive days will be paid a five percent (5%) premium pay for the duration of the assignment. All of the employee’s wages shall be paid at the out-of-class wage for the duration of the assignment. provided:
WORK PERFORMED IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. 41 Employees who are specifically asked by their administrative supervisor to work a shift and perform 42 the responsibilities and functions regularly assumed by an employee in a higher classification shall 43 receive compensation equal to that of the higher classification. Employees shall be offered the 44 opportunity to substitute into a higher paid or more hour position on a seniority basis within their 45 assigned building or special crew; provided, however, a high school Night Foremen, regardless of 46 seniority, shall first be offered the opportunity to substitute for the Building Head Custodian. If no 47 employee in the building accepts the assignment, the District may assign the work to a substitute 2 custodian shall be maintained and utilized if the District determines that no qualified sub is available.
WORK PERFORMED IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. 40 Employees who are specifically asked by their administrative supervisor to work a shift and perform 41 the responsibilities and functions regularly assumed by an employee in a higher classification shall 42 receive compensation equal to that of the higher classification as reflected on Schedule A. Employees 43 shall be offered the opportunity to fill in for a higher paid or more hour position on a seniority basis 44 within their assigned building or special crew; provided, however, a high school Night Foremen, 45 regardless of seniority, shall first be offered the opportunity to substitute for the Building Head 46 Custodian. If no employee in the building accepts the assignment, the District will first attempt to fill 47 the absence from a list of volunteers. A list of qualified District-wide employees interested in working 48 for a head custodian shall be maintained. Assignment from the list shall be based on seniority and 1 those employees who have not already begun a shift when the absence becomes known. The District 2 shall work to prevent the reassignment of employees on the list to non-head custodial jobs as a result of 3 otherwise available substitutes being assigned a Head Custodial position. Employees filling a head 4 custodian position shall remain assigned to that head custodian position until the head custodian 5 returns, notwithstanding Section 10.7.3. If no eligible employee is found, then the District may assign a 6 substitute employee to fill in for the position.
WORK PERFORMED IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. 9.1. An employee who is temporarily required to perform work of a higher classification shall be paid the wages of the higher job classification for a minimum of four (4) hours per shift or actual hours worked, whichever is greater. Provided, if an employee is required to operate an equipment, (a) employee has completed the required number of training hours for the affected equipment reflected in “APPENDIX C;” and (b) employee has been certified by the Public Works Director, or his/her designee, as fully qualified to operate the affected piece(s) of equipment. Provided further, an employee will receive additional compensation for work performed in the higher job classification of single axle truck driver when operating/driving vehicles with a GVWR of 20,000 lbs. or greater (see APPENDIX D), and also, an employee operating any vehicle that has been modified to be used as a sander and/or snowplow and is being operated in that capacity shall also receive the higher job classification of single axle truck driver, and also, an employee who is temporarily assigned to perform the work of an Assistant Supervisor (ASU) shall receive the ASU rate of pay while performing the work.
WORK PERFORMED IN HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. 46 Employees who are specifically asked by their administrative supervisor to work a shift and perform the 47 responsibilities and functions regularly assumed by an employee in a higher classification shall receive 48 compensation equal to that of the higher classification as reflected on Schedule A. Employees shall be offered the 49 opportunity to fill in for a higher paid or more hour position on a seniority basis within their assigned building or 50 special crew; provided, however, a high school Night Foremen, regardless of seniority, shall first be offered the 51 opportunity to substitute for the Building Head Custodian. If no employee in the building accepts the assignment, 1 the District will first attempt to fill the absence from a list of volunteers.
