Xxxxxxxxx of Evaluation. To provide an orderly procedure for the ongoing process of improving instruction, evaluations for counselors, librarians, nurses, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and teachers, shall be conducted according to the following schedule:
Xxxxxxxxx of Evaluation. Teachers with pre-professional status will be evaluated every year. Upon achieving professional status (PTS), teachers will be evaluated on a four (4) year evaluation cycle, effective for the 2010-2011 school year. The Professional Teacher Status (PTS) Evaluation Cycle: Year 1 No formal evaluation process Year 2 Comprehensive Evaluation OR Professional Growth Project Year 3 No formal process Year 4 Comprehensive Evaluation OR Professional Growth Project The Professional Growth Project (PGP) is intended to offer PTS educators the opportunity to engage in reflection, inquiry, and analysis of their teaching and develop new skills and knowledge about their teaching and student learning. Sharing the goal of improving student learning by improving teaching, the PGP is part of the evaluation process as an alternative to the Comprehensive Evaluation for educators with PTS. For Year 2 and Year 4, the educator may request either the Comprehensive Evaluation or Professional Growth Project. The educator’s supervisor (Principal, Headmaster, or BHS Coordinator) may accept the educator’s request for a PGP, or the supervisor may deny the request and require the educator to undergo the Comprehensive Evaluation. This decision is entirely the supervisor’s. The supervisor is required to give specific reasons if s/he denies the PGP option to an educator. If an educator requests participation in a PGP, and is approved by the supervisor, the next formal evaluation, two (2) years later, will be the Comprehensive Evaluation. In other words, an educator is to receive a Comprehensive Evaluation at least once within a four (4) year period. Within the four year cycle at elementary schools, the educator’s Principal or Vice Principal will be the evaluator, at least once. For the remainder of Article 6.2, references to teachers with professional status refer only to their year of evaluation.
Xxxxxxxxx of Evaluation. 1. Permanent employees shall be at least annually.
Xxxxxxxxx of Evaluation. 1. During the first 2 consecutive years of employment, the faculty member will be evaluated at least once each semester (prior to the end of the first full week of November for the fall and the end of the third full week in April for the spring).
