Apprenticeship Plan. 26:01 The Employer and the Union agree that an Apprenticeship Training Program may be established by the Employer in accordance with the provisions of the Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. T.17.
Apprenticeship Plan. The Company and the Union will meet after the signing of this Agreement and will mutually discuss the merit of an apprenticeship plan.
Apprenticeship Plan. 36.01 The Company and the Union implemented an apprenticeship plan during the 1995 contract with the following parameters:
Apprenticeship Plan. 1. Each Individual Employer covered by this Agreement shall contribute to xxx Xxxxxxxxxx Training Trust Fund for Northern California, the amount listed in Section IV per hour, for each hour paid for or worked, whichever is greater, by each employee covered by this Agreement for the purpose of providing training and education benefits for such employees. The eight cents ($.08) allocated on 6/16/85, to be paid into xxx Xxxxxxxxxx Training Trust Fund for Northern California, for sole purpose of providing training and education of Pile Drivers, Apprentices and Journeymen upgrading programs, under the direction and control of the Northern California Pile Driver/Bridge Builder Joint Training Committee, shall be in addition to those monies currently being paid into the Trust on behalf of employees employed under this Agreement. Further, the parties agree that the Northern California Pile Driver/Bridge Builder Joint Training Committee will immediately meet with xxx Xxxxxxxxxx Training Trust, for the purpose of determining allocation of the money currently paid by Employers of Pile Drivers, in order to assure continuity of hiring assignment, employment, or termination of all personnel employed to administer the current program, subject to approval of the bargaining parties. Such contributing Individual Employer agrees to be bound by that certain Trust Agreement establishing the Fund dated March 4, 1963, as such may from time to time be amended or supplemented. There shall be no duplicating contributions with respect to any Employee or the work of any Employee. Individual Employer contributions for a xxxxxxx, assistant superintendent and superintendent covered by this Agreement shall be based upon the hourly rate in effect for journeymen in the particular jurisdiction where they are employed.

Apprenticeship Plan. The Employer and the Union agree that an Apprenticeship Training Program may be established by the Employer in accordance with the provisions of the Apprenticeship and Tradesmen's Qualification Act An advisory committee shall be established encompassing not more than two representatives from each of: the appropriate department: (2) the Union (one person must represent the trade concerned); (3) the Department of Human Resources: along with the apprentice. Such committee and the apprentice shall meet not less than once every six (6) months until the apprentice acquires their certificate of qualification. The Committee will insure the rules and regulations concerning the procedures of the Apprenticeship Training Program are adhered to by all parties and will discuss the scope of work and training exposure that the apprentice is receiving and shall determine the appropriate level and corresponding wage rate. Employees attending meetings within their working hours shall suffer no loss of wages. When a position is established under the Apprenticeship Training Program the Employer shall notify the Union in writing and post notice of the position on all bulletin boards herein provided for, for a minimum of seven calendar days. The Employer shall consider only the ability, knowledge and aptitude of the applicants to do the job in determining who if any is selected to the position. A person working under the Apprenticeship Training Program shall be considered to be on probation for ninety (90) calendar days following employment. At the conclusion of which will be indentured as an Apprentice. As per Ontario Legislation, the parties agree to the apprentice rates contained in Schedule Upon satisfactory completion of the probation period, the Apprentice will be granted seniority back to the date of hire in the Apprenticeship Classification.
Apprenticeship Plan. 24:01 In order to ensure an adequate supply of trained employees to maintain and operate its plants, the Company will hire apprentices in accordance with approved Journeyman Apprenticeship Plans of relevant department of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. (See Appendix 1 - "Tradesman B Training Program".)

Apprenticeship Plan. 27.01 The Company and the Union implemented an apprenticeship plan during the 1995 contract with the following parameters: i) Company retains the option to hire journeypersons ii) Company option to fill apprenticeship positions iii) Starting rate of 65% of the applicable journeypersons rate and progresses with experience. iv) Apprentices will work separate to journeyperson as experience is gained but under the direction of the journeyperson on shift.
Apprenticeship Plan. 24:01 - In order to ensure an adequate supply of trained employees to maintain and operate its plants, the Company will hire apprentices in accordance with approved Journeyman Apprenticeship Plans of the Newfoundland Department of Labour and Manpower. (See Appendix 1 "Tradesman B Training Program".) 24:02 - The Company will recognize the following trades for apprenticeship plans: Machinist, Electrician, Diesel Mechanic - (Industrial Mechanic), Welder, Millwright and Xxxxxxxxx.
