Business Leaves. Such officers and members of the Union may be designated by the Union, not to exceed four (4) in number at any one time shall be granted leave from duty with pay for Union business, such as but not limited to attending labor conventions and educational conferences, collective bargaining preparations and civil service, provided that notice of such conventions or conferences shall be requested and approved by the Department Head, and provided further that the total leave for the bargaining unit for the purpose set forth in this section shall not exceed one hundred thirty-five (135) hours in any fiscal year.

Business Leaves. The parties agree there may be personal conditions or circumstances, which may require teacher absenteeism for other reasons than heretofore mentioned. The Board agrees that such leave shall not exceed two days per school year. The Board further agrees that these days shall accumulate into the teacher's sick leave accumulation if unused. These days which will not be deducted from sick leave, and are not to be accumulated, may be used under the following conditions:

Business Leaves. 7.1: Members representing the Union, not exceeding four (4) in number, shall be paid at the applicable rate of pay for actual time spent for all meetings between the City and the Union for the purpose of negotiating wages, hours and working conditions, terms of this agreement, or for processing grievances. When such meetings take place at a time during which any such members are scheduled to be on duty, they shall be granted leave from duty without any loss of pay. Actual time spent for meetings shall be limited to the time spent in the meetings.‌‌

  • Business Leave Each teacher shall be allowed five (5) days per year non-accumulative, deducted from sick leave allowance, for employee absence due to emergency, business, professional, household, or personal matters that cannot be attended to outside of working hours. Extended Illness Leave, hereinafter referred to as “EIL” shall be established for Administrative Support Group, XXXX, Clerical, and Educational Assistant personnel who are absent due to their own personal illness or injury following the exhaustion of their accumulated illness, vacation and annual allotment of short term leave. Eligibility for Extended Illness Leave includes completion of employee’s probationary period.
