Camping Allowance. An employee living in a construction camp or caravan accommodation where free messing is not provided will receive a camping allowance of $144.16 for every complete week the employee is available for work. If required to be in camp for less than a complete week the employee will be paid $20.67 per day including any Saturday or Sunday if the employee is in camp and available for work on the working day immediately preceding and succeeding each Saturday or Sunday. If an employee is absent without the employer's approval on any day, the allowance will not be payable for that day and if such unauthorised absence occurs on the working day immediately preceding or succeeding a Saturday or Sunday, the allowance will not be payable for the Saturday or Sunday.

Camping Allowance. AT A GLANCE 8.9.9.1 Employees who are required by Council to camp out or where no reasonable transport facilities are available to allow them to proceed to and from their homes each day, shall be paid a camping allowance at a rate as set out in the Allowances Table of this Agreement for each night the employee camps out. 8.9.9.2 Council shall pay the camping allowance in advance if requested, where Council requires the employee to camp out for all of the rostered working days in a week. Council shall be reimbursed the camping allowance that has been paid in advance excepting where the camp has been shortened or cancelled for reasons beyond the employee’s control. 8.9.9.3 When employees are required to camp, all travelling between their respective depots and camp site at the beginning and/or completion of the camp be undertaken during normal working hours. If the employees are required to travel outside normal working hours they shall be paid the appropriate travelling allowance in accordance with sub-clause 8.9.8 of this clause. 8.9.9.4 All time occupied in setting up or in shifting camps during the ordinary working hours shall be paid for at ordinary rates. Should employees be required to shift camp at times other than during their ordinary hours of work they shall be paid time and a half rates for the time occupied. 8.9.9.5 Council shall provide transport for employees, who are required to camp out from the Council depot at the commencement of each working week and to return to such depot at the finish of each working week or when the employees are camped for a period less than one week at the commencement and finish of the period in which the employees are required to camp out. 8.9.9.6 Notwithstanding the above, transport may be mutually arranged between Council and the employee(s) and shall remain at all times with those employee(s) required to camp. 8.9.9.7 Council shall provide free transport once each week to enable commodities for use in camp to be obtained by the employees from the nearest suitable location. For the purpose of this sub-clause, the camping allowance prescribed in sub-clause 8.9.8 shall be payable to the employees so concerned. 8.9.9.8 No employee shall be required to camp without at least 24 hours’ notice unless such employee agrees to do so. 8.9.9.9 Where reasonably practicable to do so, Council shall arrange for perishable foods to be purchased on the morning prior to the time of departure on that day.
Camping Allowance. 73.1 An employee who is required to camp out instead of receiving travelling allowance for accommodation will be paid a camping allowance of $70 (and $71 from 21 June 2012, $72 from 3 January 2013, and $73 from 20 June 2013) per night and may be reimbursed for other authorised expenditure on camping equipment.
Camping Allowance. A Staff Member who is required by the University to be stationed at a camp, or to camp out, is entitled to a camping allowance in accordance with Schedule 4(2), Camping Allowance, for each day or part day spent camping. A camping allowance will not be paid in conjunction with a travelling allowance or transfer allowance prescribed in this Agreement. If a Staff Member is required to camp out and is not provided with camping equipment by the University, they will be credited in advance for the cost of hiring such equipment, upon the production of an account or invoice, in addition to the camping allowance.
Camping Allowance. Clause 115 of Determination No. 1 of 2011 is varied for the life of this Agreement and replaced with the following: (a) Where a member, in the course of employment, is required to camp out overnight using makeshift accommodation such as a swag or tent, the Commissioner will approve payment of a Camping Allowance at the rate set out in the relevant Consent Agreement as varied from time to time, to compensate for the physical discomfort of camping and for reasonable provisioning. (b) A member in receipt of Camping Allowance who desires and is able to travel to and from home each day to perform duty at the camp, may, with the approval of their Officer in Charge, do so. (c) Where approval is given under clause 65(b) to return home at the conclusion of a rostered shift at a camp, the member shall not be entitled to the Camping Allowance, however the member shall be entitled to payment of the relevant component of Travel Allowance for the travel undertaken to and from the camp and their usual place of abode, provided that: (i) the amount of Travel Allowance payable shall not, without the consent of the Commissioner, exceed the amount that would have been payable as camping allowance had the member remained at the camp overnight; (ii) the member travels outside of their normal rostered shift; and; (iii) such travel shall be without access to a claim for excess travelling time or overtime. (d) Camping Allowance is not payable during any period of leave whether paid or unpaid except personal leave while remaining in a camping situation. (e) Payment of Camping Allowance shall be made in advance for the whole period of intended absence prior to commencing travel to the camp. Any portion of the allowance paid in advance shall be recoverable from the member if they return to their home location prior to the anticipated return date. Further payments of the allowance shall be made as soon as practicable for such further anticipated period or periods where it becomes apparent the period of absence will continue past the intended period.
Camping Allowance. The Camping Allowance will be payable in the following circumstances: Where an Employee is required to camp out or reside in tented or temporary accommodation. Where commercially provided accommodation is below an acceptable standard. Acceptable standards will include all types of hotels, motels and cabin accommodation with three star permanent standard. Three Star standard must include: Clean bed linen provided Appropriate heating and cooling Meals available either directly or indirectly House keeping cleans after each booking Ablution facilities that are in room or close to the room The Allowance rate in this clause is contained in the table below:
Camping Allowance. 21.1 An employee who, in the course of employment is required to camp out overnight, using makeshift accommodation such as a swag or a tent, shall be eligible for a camping allowance in accordance with By-law 31 (Camping Allowance). 21.2 An employee receiving camping allowance is not eligible to receive a travelling allowance.

Camping Allowance. 77.1 Where an employee is required to be absent from home overnight due to IBA requirements and commercial accommodation is not available in that locality, the employee will receive a Camping Allowance for meals and incidentals at a rate determined by the Chief Executive Officer. For these purposes, commercial accommodation is defined the same as for Clause 75.3.
Camping Allowance. 83.1 Staff members who in the course of authorised field duty are required to camp overnight will be paid a camping allowance for each night they are required to camp in accordance with University Policy. The allowance payable will be $16.70 or 2.0% of the weekly rate derived from the HEW level 3, step 7 annual salary, whichever is the greater.
Camping Allowance. 22.1 This clause applies where a Health Worker is stationed in a camp. 22.2 Camp of a permanent nature means single room accommodation in skid mounted or mobile type units, caravans or barrack type accommodation where the following are not provided in the camp: (a) freely available water; (b) toilet, shower or bath and laundry facilities; (c) hot water system; (d) a kitchen, except in the case of a caravan equipped with its cooking and messing facilities; (e) an electricity or power supply, and (f) beds and mattresses except in the case of caravans containing sleeping accommodation. 22.3 Caravans located in caravan parks or other locations where the above are not provided shall be deemed a camp of a permanent nature. 22.4 A Health Worker who is stationed in a camp of a permanent nature shall be paid the appropriate allowance prescribed by item (1) and item (2) of Schedule C for each day spent camping. This will include Saturdays and Sundays where the Health Worker is available for work immediately preceding and succeeding such days and no deduction shall be made when a Health Worker does not spend the whole or part of the weekend at the camp unless the Health Worker is reimbursed travelling allowance under “Clause 21 – Travelling, Transfer and Relieving Allowances”. 22.5 A Health Worker who is stationed in a camp not of a permanent nature or is required to camp out, shall be paid the appropriate allowance prescribed by Item (3) or Item (4) of Schedule B for each day spent camping. 22.6 The allowances payable to Health Workers under this clause will be halved where Health Workers are provided with food/meals free of charge. 22.7 The Health Service General Manager may determine an allowance other than that provided in Schedule B. 22.8 Camping allowance shall not be payable for periods in excess of 91 consecutive days unless agreed by the Health Service General Manager. Periods during which a Health Worker is being reimbursed travel allowance under “Clause 21 – Travelling, Transfer and Relieving Allowance” will be included for the purposes of determining the 91 days. 22.9 This clause shall be read in conjunction with “Clause 21 – Travelling, Transfer and Relieving Allowance” and the camping allowance shall not be paid for any period for which travelling, transfer or relieving allowances are paid. 22.10 Where portions of a day are spent camping, the formula contained inClause 15 – Wages” shall be used for calculating the allowances to be paid.
