Certification and Training. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring all employees have the required training and certification by verifying experience, special training, and qualifications.
Certification and Training a. The Design-Builder must provide training, qualification, and certification programs in accordance with recognized guidelines for personnel affecting and assuring quality. Personnel must have demonstrated competence in the specific area and have adequate understanding of the project requirements. The Design-Builder must periodically review credentials of active personnel to assure that suitable education, experience, and technical qualifications are maintained. Indoctrination and training must be implemented as necessary to assure that proficiency is achieved and maintained for personnel with project responsibility.
b. The Design-Builder must develop, implement, and maintain documented procedures to establish the requirements for conducting training, including training on the CQP and related procedures. Training must be conducted by knowledgeable instructors.
c. The Design-Builder must establish and maintain records of certification and training.
d. The Design-Builder must ensure that requirements for certification and training for its Subcontractors’ and suppliers’ personnel are included in its subcontract and procurement documents.
Certification and Training. 34.01 All employees are required to have and maintain a valid Canadian Fitness Professionals Personal Training Specialist certification (or equivalent, as determined by the Employer) as well as a valid (within one year) CPR A certification. Upon hire, trainers will have seventy-five (75) days to complete such certifications. Failure to complete such certifications within the first three (3) months shall be cause for dismissal. The list of certifications acceptable to the Employer is attached at Appendix 4.
34.02 Employees, upon submitting proof of completion of any approved course/education program, will be entitled to receive the following annual Education Allowance reimbursement:
(a) Employees with one (1) but less than five (5) years’ service-an amount equivalent to 50% of the cost of the subject course(s), to a maximum of $1000 per year.
(b) Employees with more than five (5) years’ service- an amount equivalent to 50% of the cost of the subject course(s), to a maximum of $2000 per year.
Certification and Training. Drivers must satisfy all certification and training requirements adopted by the State of Michigan and the Employer. Drivers must be certified and qualified to operate every vehicle (lift-bus, bus, and van), enabling a driver to take any route or shuttle. The Employer shall reimburse a bus driver for his/her CDL license renewal. However, if a driver is separated from employment within the lifetime of the license, vehicle group designation, or vehicle endorsement, for any reason except retirement or layoff, the driver shall have deducted from his/her final paycheck a pro rata share of the cost of the license, group designation, and/or endorsement based upon the number of years remaining on said license, group designation, or endorsement.
Certification and Training. The Agent must successfully complete Citizens’ initial training requirements and must complete such other training and certification requirements as Citizens may require from time to time during the term of the Agreement. Failure to meet mandatory training requirements may result in disciplinary action, as set forth in this Agreement, until such requirements are met.
Certification and Training. The City shall ensure that adequate time and availability of the employee is made to attend all required training prior to the expiration of any required certifications. All employees, regardless of shift length, are expected to return to work and complete the remainder of their shift unless the location of the training would not allow them to return in a safe, timely and sensible manner. An employee will not be required to use any accrued benefit time and will be credited the length of their regular shift if they are not able to return to work after attending training, as long as the reason for not returning to work is a result of uncontrollable circumstances and approved by that employee’s supervisor. When not returning to work after training is a result of illness or other personal reason, then appropriate benefits will need to be used. If the employee is uncertain whether or not to report back to work, they shall check with their supervisor and/or Department Head. The Department Head shall have final discretion. At no time shall an employee’s training, travel time and work time exceed their regularly scheduled work day except under one of the following conditions:
1. The combined training and travel time exceeds the length of an employee’s regular shift, the employee shall receive overtime pay (the employee shall immediately report this scenario to their supervisor should this occur).
2. The employee and management mutually agree that upon return from training, the employee can report to work and continue an overtime shift, if applicable. The City will pay for costs associated with completing courses or achieving certifications or licenses, which are required by the City (whether State mandated or City option). If an employee is required to take an examination to obtain a certificate or license, payment for the first examination will be pre-paid by the City. Costs shall include transportation or mileage paid at the IRS approved rate, tuition and fees. The City also agrees to pay the costs associated with renewal for any license or certification so long as it is required. An example of such requirements is the license for certification for water systems operator. If an employee fails an examination, all costs associated to re-take the examination except transportation or mileage reimbursement which shall be at the employee’s expense (does not apply to transportation or mileage). The City will determine how many and which Utilities Maintenance Worker(s) ...
Certification and Training. Bargaining unit employees who possess a Fire Officer Certificate shall receive an additional five percent (5%) of their base pay per month. The additional compensation for a Fire Officer Certificate is intended to encourage bargaining unit employees to improve their knowledge of fire- related subjects and sciences. Employees shall receive the additional five percent (5%) commencing on the first of the month following submission of written proof to the Fire Chief that the employee has obtained the appropriate certificate. The Fire Officer Certificate shall be issued by the California Fire Service Training and Education System. Bargaining unit employees who possess a CPR Instructor’s Certification and have actively participated during the year as a lead instructor in the CPR instruction program provided by the Department and approved by the Fire Chief, shall receive an annual payment equal to four percent (4%) of their base pay.

This Code and any supporting or related materials shall be provided to each employee, officer, director and consultant upon commencement of his/her employment or other relationship with Imara and shall also be distributed annually to each employee, officer, director and consultant, all of whom shall certify annually in writing that he/she has received, read, understands and will comply with the Code. In the event that any employee, officer, director or consultant is not able to so certify, he/she shall receive training so that the individual understands the Code and can certify to compliance with it.

Contractor agrees to obtain training and/or certification in order to safely dispense aviation fuel and to perform all other duties required to be performed by Contractor pursuant to this Agreement in a safe and competent manner. Contractor agrees to be approved by Av Fuel to dispense aviation fuel including jet fuel, prior to commencing duties pursuant to this Agreement. Further, Contractor agrees to obtain any additional training or certification, or re-training or re-certification, at contractor’s expense, that is necessary to safely and competently perform the duties required of him pursuant to this Agreement. Proof of certification, training, and/or approval shall be provided to the City upon request.
