CompassionateLeave. By mutual agreement leave of absence will be granted to a maximum of six (6) months Without pay to employees for compassionate reasons or for educational or training or extended vacation purposes, conditional on the following That the employee apply at least one (1) month in advance unless the grounds for such application could not reasonably be foreseen. CompassionateLeave. 1) Each teacher shall be allowed compassionate leave without loss of salary for up to, but not exceeding, three (3) days in the case of death, serious illness, or other tragedy in the immediate family of the teacher or spouse.
CompassionateLeave. An employee shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of pay, but with deduction from sick leave credits, in crisis situations, which include, are not limited to the hospitalization of family members, fire, or violence within the home. Crisis shall be interpreted to mean a time grave danger. Personal Leave Day Subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Human Resourcesor designate, an employee may be granted up to two (2) days of personal leave per Agreement year with pay and with deduction from sick leave credits. The Board may grant an employee a leave of absence without pay for a maximum of one (1) year.   • Compassionate Leave (a) An employee is entitled to 2 days of compassionate leave for each occasion when a member of the employee's immediate family, or a member of the employee's household:

  • Intermittent Leave 7 Intermittent leave without pay used in lieu of sick leave is not 8 subject to the six (6) month entitlement provided for above. When such leave significantly 9 affects an employee’s job performance and is not subject to the requirements of law 10 (including but not limited to the FMLA), management may evaluate the employee’s use of 11 leave according to the criteria of “Section B.2.c” above. Medical information as provided 12 for in “Section D.1” above may be required for the evaluation. After completing the 13 evaluation management may do one of the following:

  • Medical Care Leave An Employee who is unable to make the necessary arrangements for maintenance of personal health care outside of scheduled work time, shall be granted time off with pay. Such time off shall not exceed sixteen (16) working hours per calendar year. Hours in excess of sixteen (16) hours per calendar year shall be deducted from the Employee's sick leave accumulation.

  • Medications Psychotropic medications and medications associated with treating a diagnosed mental health condition.
