Constraints on how the Contractor Provides the Works The contractor must carry out the works as detailed in the Method of Work which forms part of the Environmental Permit. Any material change to this must be first signed off by the Project Manager. The Contractor will be responsible for submitting a new Method of Work to the Environment Agency for approval. Constraints on how the Contractor Provides the Service The Contractor may only execute certain works if the necessary work permits have been approved by the Employer. All works is governed by the Employer’s work control process. Work packages will be issued and the relevant works therein describing the works that must be performed and on which equipment works must be performed. Replacement of key personnel during the contract shall be subject to approval by the Employer. During the contract term it is the Contractor’s responsibility to comply with the approved work / quality plan and the requirements prescribed on the Permit to Work, to adhere to the OH&S Act and the Safety Guidelines for Contractors, to perform the Service in compliance with the approved contract. During the execution of this Contract, other Contractors may be performing work on the plant and the Contractor must take due cognisance of this in planning and executing the Service. The Employer shall perform safety audits to ensure compliance to procedures.
Constraints on how the Contractor Provides the Works Progress Meetings The Contractor attends a pre-start meeting and monthly progress meetings throughout the contract. Temporary site compound An area has been identified and can be made available to set up a site compound as shown on drg WNKECK 160. Access to the site will be from the Daresbury Expressway via Xxxxx Xxxxx Lane and Wharford Lane. Other residential roads must not be used for deliveries. The Contractor adequately fences the site and erects fencing and gates before other work starts in that part of the site. The Contractor regularly inspects and maintains all site fencing and gates, and promptly repairs damages. Except as may be otherwise required by the Works Information, the Contractor designs, constructs, maintains, and afterwards removes and reinstates temporary accommodation, services, compounds, storage areas, site roads and accesses required for the works. The Contractor submits details of these design and reinstatement proposals to the Employer for acceptance. The Contractor provides temporary offices, sanitary arrangements, stores, workshops, compounds, parking areas and the like for the use of the Contractor’s employees and workforce necessary for the completion of the works and correction of defects. The general siting and layout of these is to the prior agreement of the Employer. Additional Works Information Use of the site Normal working hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. No construction activities are undertaken outside of these hours or on Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays without the prior written agreement of the Employer. Waste and Recycling The Contractor prepares a Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) in the Employer’s standard format prior to commencement of the works. This is updated by the Contractor until Completion and is made available for the Employer’s inspection on request. The Contractor completes the accompanying Site Waste Management Plan data sheets monthly and includes them in the Contractor’s monthly reports. A copy of the draft plan is included in Appendix A for information only. Following award the Contractor completes and signs the declaration in the ‘project details’ section of the SWMP template. The Contractor then uses the ‘planning’ section of the SWMP template to forecast waste generation on the project and identify waste management options following the waste hierarchy approach (reduce > reuse > recycle > disposal).
