GRIEVANC E PROCEDURE. A grievance shall mean a complaint by a Teacher alleging a violation of rights under the CBA . 3-1.0 A grievance to be considered under this procedure must be initiated by the Teacher within 10 school days of its occurrence, or within 10 school days of when the Teacher should have known of its occurrence. Al l grievances, alleged to have occurred during the last two weeks of school, must be initiated by July 15. A decision on the grievance shall be rendered within the time limit set forth in this section or the 3-2.0 grievance shall be deemed favorable to the grievant. Failure at any step of this procedure to appeal a grievance to the next step within the specified time limits shall be deemed to be acceptance of the decision rendered at that step. Any Teacher who has a grievance shall discuss it first with her/his immediate superior, if 3-3.0 applicable, in an attempt to resolve the matter informally at that level. If, as a result of the discussion, the matter is not resolved to the satisfaction of the Teacher within 3-4.0 ten (10) school days, s/he shall set forth the grievance, including the section of the CB A that is specifically being grieved, in writing to the Building Administrator specifying: (a) the nature of the grievance and date occurred; (b) the nature and extent of the injury, loss or inconvenience; (c) the results of previous discussions; (d) her/his dissatisfaction with decisions previously rendered. The Building Administrator shall communicate her/his decision to the Teacher in writing within ten (10) school days of receipt of the written grievance. If the decision of the Building Administrator does not resolve the grievance to the satisfaction of 3-5.0 the Teacher, s/he shall so notify the Association within ten (10) school days of receipt of the Building Administrator's decision. If the Association determines that the matter should be reviewed further, it shall, in wilting, so advise the Superintendent within ten (10) school days of receipt of the Building Administrator's decision and request a review by the Superintendent. The appeal must be in writing reciting the matter submitted to the Building Administrator as specified above, and the Teacher's dissatisfactions with the decision previously rendered. GRIEVANC E PROCEDURE. The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select a reasonable number of stewards to assist employees in presenting their grievances to the representatives of the Company. The number of such stewards and the zone within which each one is to function shall be determined from time to time through joint negotiations. The Union shall keep the Company informed of the names of the Stewards and the Zones they represent. The Company will recognize and deal with a grievance committee composed of the Local Plant Chairman, Chief Xxxxxxx, Recording Secretary, Assistant Chief Xxxxxxx and the Xxxxxxx from the zone where the grievance arises. It is understood that members of the committee shall be employees of the Company who have attained seniority. GRIEVANC E PROCEDURE. Should any difference arise between the Hospital of its nurses regarding the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of the provisions of this Agreement, an honest effort shall be made by both parties to settle the difference in the following manner. Any nurse may present a complaint without recourse to the formal written procedure. A nurse, who may be accompanied by a representative, shall present the complaint to the immediate supervisor.
