GUARANTEED WORK WEEK. Full-time employees with thirty-six (36) months of service with the Company will be entitled to receive forty (40) hours of pay, including overtime during the week worked, provided that the concerned employee is available for any work that may be required, unless the failure to supply work is due to weather conditions, a labour dispute, a power failure or an act of God.
GUARANTEED WORK WEEK. Regular Employees shall be guaranteed payment --------------------- for and expected to work eight (8) hours each day, forty (40) hours for each week subject to the addition of all premium and overtime provisions, unless such work ceases to be available by reason of an Act of God, or other reason beyond the control of the Employer. Employees unable to work eight (8) hours a day, forty (40) hours a week shall provide a reasonable explanation and verification of the reason of absence where appropriate and in compliance with the provisions of this Agreement.
GUARANTEED WORK WEEK. 19.1 This article shall apply only to those employees who are permanent full-time employees of the Company.
GUARANTEED WORK WEEK. 2.04.01 TWENTY-FOUR HOUR GUARANTEE - During the period November I to May 15, there shall be a twenty-four (24) hour guarantee, Monday through Saturday. Once an Employee starts to work, they are guaranteed twenty-four (24) hours or the number of eight (8) hour days remaining between the day of hiring and Friday, whichever is less. Any Employee who reports for work at the regularly appointed starting time, unless he has been notified on the previous day that his services will not be required, shall be entitled to show-up time of two (2) hours at straight time. The Employees shall remain on the job for the two (2) hour period unless otherwise directed by the Employer. Two (2) hour show-up time shall apply toward the twenty-four (24) hour guarantee. Time lost Monday through Friday, due to conditions beyond the Employer's control, to the extent of eight (8) hours, may be made up on Saturday at time and one-half. A paid holiday not worked may not be used as a basis for makeup time, since the time is not lost through conditions beyond the Contractor's control. When an Employee is terminated or a job closes down, an Employee shall receive eight (8) hours for each preceding day and a minimum or four (4) hours or actual hours worked, whichever is greater for the day of shutdown. An employee laid off and re-hired to the same employer during the same week shall receive a minimum of 24 hours pay.
2.04.02 MID-WEEK HIRE - If an Employee starts work in the middle of the week, or any day after Monday, they are guaranteed the number of eight (8) hour days remaining between the day of hiring and Friday. Make-up time is based on the time lost after they start work.
GUARANTEED WORK WEEK. When an employee is recalled to work after having completed their shift and having punched their time card, and has left Company property, they will receive pay for a minimum of four (4) hours and the time worked will be calculated at their overtime premium rate, This four (4) hour minimum will not apply if the employee is still on Company property when called back to work, whether they have punched out or not.

GUARANTEED WORK WEEK. All dayworkers (deck foremen, galley, ordinary seamen and, cargo maintenance men) shall be guaranteed a seven (7) day work week and , shall be required to work eight (8) hours per day between 06:00 and l8:OO hours on Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays subject to the statutory rest period. If a dayworker requests and is granted time off during this work period, he shall receive basic pay only. Ordinary seamen shall be guaranteed seven days work per week, eight hours per day between the hours of 0:600 and 18:00, provided they shall perform such duties as may be assigned to them by the Master or First Mate in their own department. On Saturdays, Sundays, and Statutory Holidays ordinary seamen will not be required to perform work set out in Article 13.08. Such assignment will not result in the displacement of personnel in another classification.
GUARANTEED WORK WEEK. An employee who reports for work at the start of his established work week shall be guaranteed five (5) full shifts of work for that week with a minimum pay of forty (40) hours at straight time rates. If an employee does not report at the start of his established work week, or if a new employee does not report at the beginning of the work week, then such employee shall receive the same guarantees as outlined above for that portion of the week which they work.
