Holiday Falling During Vacation. (a) If a recognized Holiday occurs during an employee’s vacation or on the employee’s regular scheduled day off, the employee shall receive a day off with pay at a mutually agreed upon time or a day’s pay, whichever the employee chooses. If no mutually agreed upon date, the scheduled day off will be taken adjacent to the holiday (b) Employees who work on a general holiday shall receive a day off adjacent to time off or will automatically be paid in the appropriate pay period. The employee must notify the employer two (2) weeks prior to the statutory holiday if they are to take the time off, otherwise they will be paid out.
