Hours of work - shift work. It will be necessary to work shift work on the Project. The ordinary hours of shift work will be an average of 36 hours per week from Monday to Sunday inclusive over an average of 144 hours per 4 week cycle. The daily ordinary hours of each shift worker whether continuous or not, shall be in accordance with clause 5.1. Provided that for the purposes of this clause, eight hours shall be used for shift workers to determine the finishing time of a shift. Shift work requires at least 4 consecutive shifts to be worked, otherwise the overtime provisions will apply. The requirement to work shift work or to change the shift work roster will only occur after reasonable consultation with directly affected employees. In the circumstances where an employee is engaged on night work for a period of more than 4 continuous weeks the loading will be 30%. The weekend penalty rates will apply to shift work on weekends.

A night shift will mean a shift that continues for at least 5 nights, where the majority of ordinary hours are worked between 6.00pm and 6.00am. Shift work requires at least 5 consecutive shifts to be worked, otherwise the overtime or short term night work provisions will apply. The requirement to work shift work will only occur after reasonable consultation with directly affected employees. A loading of 15% shall apply to ordinary hours on night shift. In the circumstances where an employee is engaged on night work for a period of more than 4 continuous weeks in any roster cycle the loading will be 30%. The weekend penalty rates will apply to shift work on weekends.

(b) The ordinary hours on each of the 19 days worked shall be eight. These will be paid for on the basis of 7.2 hours per day by taking l/36th of the weekly rate, with 0.4 of an hour accruing as an entitlement to take a paid rostered day off in each cycle. The break shall be taken so as to not interfere with the continuity of work where continuity is necessary. No deduction shall be made from the employee's wage for this meal break. (4) Additional Penalty - A shift worker who works on an afternoon or night shift which does not continue for at least five (5) successive afternoons or nights shall be paid for each shift one-half time extra for the first two (2) hours thereof and double time extra for the remaining hours thereof in addition to the ordinary rate. (5) Weekend Shifts - All ordinary shifts worked by shift workers between midnight on Friday and midnight on Saturday shall be paid for at time and a half, and shifts worked, by workers between midnight on Saturday and midnight on Sunday shall be paid for at double time provided that a shift commencing at or after 11:00pm on any day shall be deemed to have been worked wholly on the following day.

The morning rest period will be deemed as time worked. (e) If an Employee or group of Employees is required to work during their usual meal break, due to an emergency or for the purpose of maintaining production, they will be allowed to take their meal break when the other Employees have resumed work and relief is available. (f) Employees are to clock on and off at the electronic device, be at their working station by the commencement of the shift and to remain at their working station until the bell sounds for morning tea, lunch and end of shift. (g) Employees agree to work a rostered meal break to keep machines on line.
Hours of work - shift work. 4.1 HOURS OF WORK 4.1.1 Day Workers Monday - Friday (a) Ordinary hours will be worked between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. with a maximum of 8 hours (apart from meal breaks), worked consecutively, on anyone day. Provided that the hours may be changed by agreement between the parties or as a result of licence regulation or legislative requirements. (b) The Plant Manager may fix the starting time within the limitations in subc1ause (b) above, and may alter it from time to time, with the consent of the employees. (c) Employees will be provided with a meal break of not less than 20 minutes or more than 30 minutes which must commence within four and six hours after commencing work. The morning rest period is deemed as time worked. Penalty rates are payable where an employee is required to work beyond the commencement of the sixth hour until such time as the employee is able to take the meal break. Employees agree to work a rostered meal break between the fourth and sixth hours to keep machines on line. (d) Where an emergency occurs employees may defer their meal break beyond the sixth hour without the payment of penalties provided they will be allowed to take their meal break when the emergency is over. An emergency is a situation whereby an employees safety is at risk, or where substantial damage to assets can occur, but it is not simply to maintain production. (e) Other meal break arrangements may be worked subject to the agreement by both parties. 4.1.2 Day Workers -Monday-Sunday, 3 1/2 day roster. (a) Day workers working Monday-Sunday will work the following patterns: (1) Sunday-Wednesday (i) Sunday 6 am-5 pm Monday 6 am-5 pm (ii) Tuesday 6 am-5 pm Wednesday 6 am-11.30am (2) Wednesday-Sunday (i) Wednesday 11.30 am -5pm Thursday 6am-5pm Friday 6am-5pm Saturday 6am-5pm (ii) A payment for working this work pattern will be as follows-Monday-Friday ▪ 8 hours ordinary time, 2 hours time and one half, 1 hour double timeSaturday and Sunday 11 hours double time ▪ Public Holiday 11 ...

The intention to move an employee to shift work must be at least 48 hours notice. In the circumstances where an Employee is engaged on night work for a period of more than 4 continuous weeks the loading will be 30%. The weekend penalty rates will apply to shift work on weekends.

Hours of work - shift work. Eight (8) hours' work in any day shall constitute a regular day for the first five (5) days of the week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., unless otherwise mutually agreed upon between the Employer and the Union. Forty (40) hours of work, Monday through Friday, shall constitute a week's work. There shall be a regular pay day for all employees at least once a week and no more than five (5) days' pay shall be held back. A check stub shall accompany employees' pay checks and must include all deductions made.
Hours of work - shift work. MEAL BREAKS, REST PAUSES & OVERTIME 14.1 ORDINARY HOURS 14.1.1 The ordinary working hours of employees covered by this Agreement shall not exceed an average of 38 hours per week over any four week period to be worked in accordance with a roster agreed between the employer and majority of employees affected, provided that where no roster is agreed, the employer may implement a roster with seven (7) days’ notice. 14.1.2 An employee may be requested under this Agreement to work any additional reasonable hours as requested by the Employer in accordance with the Workplace Relations Act 1996. 14.1.3 A maximum 152 hours per four week cycle or maximum 190 hours per five week cycle to apply. The ordinary hours shall be averaged over the cycle so that 38 hours normal is paid each week. 14.1.4 The ordinary hours of work prescribed herein shall not exceed a maximum of 12 ordinary hours for any work day. 14.1.5 The ordinary hours of work prescribed herein shall be worked continuously, except for meal and rest pauses. 14.1.6 The ordinary starting and finishing times of various groups of employees or individual employees may be staggered and set having regard to the job classification and rostering requirements of the Company
