Incidental Overtime. Incidental Overtime is utilized when employees have been assigned to a 6 special project that benefits the Department. It is utilized to encourage and reward those 7 employees who are working outside their normal operational assignments. Project hours must 8 have written authorization by the Deputy Chief prior to the hours being worked.
Incidental Overtime. For non-emergencies dispatches after 4:30 p.m. that might result in incidental overtime, the Area Managers, dispatch and the employees in a work group can mutually agree to written guidelines that will be used to determine which employee will be assigned the job, so long as the employee has the skill needed to perform the job and priority is given to the technician who is in close proximity to the job and is available.
Incidental Overtime. Incidental Overtime is work that presents itself twenty-four (24) hours or less from the time that the works must be done and must be performed by employees on the shift in which the overtime occurs. Where a night shift employee books off, and the employee’s work would normally be covered by an “X” employee but is not covered by an “X” employee due to a lack of available “X” employees, and a return to work date of the booked off employee is not available, this work shall be deemed to be Incidental Overtime and shall not be posted.
Incidental Overtime. All command officers will be paid each two-week period four (4) hours of their regular pay at time and one and one-half (1 ½ ) their regular rate of pay for incidental time before and after shift hours. Effective January 1, 2003, all command officers will be paid each two- week period two (2) hours of their regular pay at time and one and one-half
Incidental Overtime. Those employees assigned to a twenty-four (24) hour work shift will be compensated for incidental overtime for overtime of eight (8) hours or less. If an employee works more than eight (8) hours of overtime, the entire eight-hour period shall be compensated at the regular overtime rate. The incidental overtime rate is computed based on the hourly wage of an eight-hour per day employee. The regular overtime rate is based on a twenty-four (24) hour shift assignment, i.e., 2912 hours annually.
Incidental Overtime. 5.1 The 1997 Agreement provides for compensation to Grade rates of pay for incidental overtime.
5.2 To compensate for incidental end of shift and pre-shift overtime, all Grade rates were increased by 2% on 1 July 1997 and 2% on 1 July 1998. Half of these increases were absorbed into Grade 9 & 10 margins.
5.3 Incidental overtime shall not exceed eight hours in any four week roster period.

Incidental Overtime. Incidental overtime is any extension of the basic work shift of less than 1/10 of an hour that is non-recurrent.
Incidental Overtime. Incidental overtime occurs when an Employee who is already rostered to work is asked, or required, by Mecwacare to commence their rostered shift early, or to continue to work past the published end time of that rostered shift on the same day and, as a result, works more than the set full-time rostered shift length for that shift (usually 8 hours for day and PM shift and 10 hours for night shift). For clarity, if an Employee commences their rostered shift early, they will be paid at overtime rates until the commencement of their ordinary hours rostered shift. Incidental overtime only applies to casual Employees after 10 ordinary hours have been worked.
Incidental Overtime.
a) The commitment of all Employees to their craft and their masthead means that staff (full-time, part-time and casual) will, where required, work incidental overtime, meaning end of shift and pre-shift overtime.
b) The Company recognises that family and other responsibilities of staff need to be balanced with this incidental overtime. Accordingly, the Company undertakes that it will have regard to these responsibilities of Employees - and honour arrangements they have made to meet these responsibilities - in any expectation of overtime required to be worked.
c) The parties agree that such incidental overtime shall not exceed eight hours in any four-week roster period (or the lesser pro-rata amount for part-time and casual Employees).
