Interview Positions. Whenever it is necessary to fill a vacancy for Division III positions, the following procedures will apply: 1. The position will be posted for a period of five (5) work days 2. The District will use the individual’s qualifications, which include but are not limited to prior training and experience, certification, employment record and evaluations, in selecting the most qualified individual. 3. Where Division III internal candidates are equally qualified for the vacant position, length of service will be strongly considered. 4. Interviews will be conducted by a committee of Division III A.R. and employer appointed representative(s). 5. All changes in assignments will be implemented within ten (10) work days of the job being awarded. During the interview/selection process, the employer appointed representative(s) will consider information presented by the entire committee in making the selection. However, the final decision rests with the employer appointed representative(s).

Interview Positions. A. Openings in the existing non-teaching professional staff positions in the following programs shall be subject to the interview process established herein, provided such positions are established in compliance with Article 23.7 of the Master Agreement. 1. Alternative Education Positions (High School and Middle School level) 2. Newly created experimental classroom positions, mutually agreed upon, which require specialized training. 3. Other positions mutually agreed upon. B. Interview Procedures 1. These non-teaching professional staff positions that are mutually agreed upon shall be posted with necessary requirements. Internal candidates shall be interviewed first. If there are no internal certified and qualified applicants, the position(s) will be filled with a new hire. New hires shall not occur when the effect would: a. cause a layoff or; b. prevent, or unnecessarily delay the return of a non-teaching professional staff member to, or placement of a non-teaching professional staff member in a full time position. 2. Any opening(s) or vacancies in positions subject to interview that occur as a result of a current non-teaching professional staff member selecting another job(s) at the Job Selection Meeting or MVP will not be posted. 3. Criteria, job descriptions, and minimum time of service for the positions will be established by mutual agreement with the Association and included in the position. 4. Selection of the candidate will be recommended by the committee, which shall include two administrators, (one of the Directors of the appropriate program or designee and the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources or designee) and three professional staff members selected by the Association president. 5. Any two members of the committee who do not agree with the selection will cause the selection to be vetoed. 6. Non-teaching professional staff members placed in interview positions shall be subject to the layoff and displacement procedures in the Master Agreement.

Interview Positions. Whenever it is necessary to fill a vacancy for any of the following positions: Student Nutrition Coordinator, Student Nutrition Driver, Student Nutrition Technician, Student Nutrition Manager, Head Cook, Production Manager or Special Events – the following procedures will apply: 1. The position will be posted for a period of five (5) work days 2. Division III candidates that meet the posted qualifications will be given first consideration. 3. The District will use the individual’s qualifications, which include but are not limited to prior training and experience, certification, employment record and evaluations, in selecting the most qualified individual. 4. Where Division III internal candidates are equally qualified for the vacant position, length of service will be strongly considered. 5. Where there is no applicant meeting the qualifications on the posting and job description from within Division III, qualified applicants will be sought from within the bargaining Unit before applications will be accepted from outside the bargaining Unit (see Art. 12 D4). 6. Interviews will be conducted by a committee of Division III A.R. and employer appointed representative(s). 7. All changes in assignments will be implemented within ten (10) work days of the job being awarded. During the interview/selection process, the employer appointed representative(s) will consider information presented by the entire committee in making the selection. However, the final decision rests with the employer appointed representative(s). 8. Employees changing positions will serve a twenty (20) work day trial period. 9. If an Employee elects to revert, or the Board elects to return the Employee to his/her former position during the trial period, the position will be reposted. All Employees will return to their former positions.

Administration will determine interview process and include a representative of Association in the interviews. 5. All changes in assignments will be implemented within ten (10) workdays of the job being awarded.

Related to Interview Positions

  • New Positions The Board, in consultation with the Association, shall prepare a new job description whenever a new position of special responsibility is created or whenever the duties of any such position are changed or increased. When such a position is created or changed, the allowance shall be subject to negotiations between the Board and the Association.

  • Interviews An applicant for a posted position with the Employer who is not on a leave of absence without pay and who has been called for an interview shall suffer no loss of basic earnings to attend. Should an employee require a leave of absence from duties for the interview, their supervisor shall be notified as soon as the requirement to appear for an interview is made known.

  • Job Postings The employee may apply for a job posting at either home based on their seniority at the designated employer. The vacancy will be filled in accordance with Article 9 of the collective agreement. Where seniority is the deciding factor the most senior candidate will be selected regardless of which home her/his seniority was accumulated.
