JURY DUTY/WITNESS PAY. Employees shall be released from their regular scheduled duties for jury duty or to serve as a witness on matters pertaining to their job. Employees will be paid the difference between their jury pay (excluding mileage) and their regular pay when serving in this capacity. Seniority and benefits will continue to accrue for the employee while on jury duty. Employees who serve less than four (4) hours shall be expected to return to work or work their regular shift.

JURY DUTY/WITNESS PAY. 8.1 It is agreed that the Company shall make up the wage loss incurred by a regular employee (as distinguished from a probationary employee) because of jury service by payment of the difference between the amount received for such jury service on the day such employee would have been regularly scheduled to work and his or her regular rate of pay computed on the same basis as vacation pay. Any employee reporting for jury duty will not be required to work his or her regular shift that calendar day. The employee will be excused for the entire day without loss of pay. Hours spent on jury duty service and paid for hereunder shall be considered as time actually worked for the 40 hour overtime requirements. Further as outlined above, the Company shall make up the wage loss incurred by an employee when subpoenaed as a witness in an action when the employee or the Union or the Company are neither the plaintiff nor the defendant.
JURY DUTY/WITNESS PAY. 20.01 A regular full-time employee who is required to report for jury duty in family court, county court, provincial court, supreme court or coroner's court or who is subpoenaed by the crown to appear as a witness (not a defendant or complainant) at any proceedings in the aforementioned courts on a work day on which they would normally have worked, will be reimbursed by the Company for the difference between their regular base rate of pay and the jury duty pay or witness pay received for that day. Reimbursement shall not be for hours in excess of eight hours per day or forty hours per week. The employee will be required to furnish a certificate of service signed by the Clerk of the Court to the Company before payment is made. Time paid for jury or witness duty will be counted as hours worked for the purpose of qualifying for vacations and statutory holidays but will not be counted as hours worked in a work day for the purpose of computing overtime.
JURY DUTY/WITNESS PAY. The company will make up the difference between the amount of money per day an employee received while serving as a member of a jury, or subpoenaed witness, to an amount equal to the normal eight (8) hours pay which he would have been eligible to receive for working that day. An employee who, by reason of any summons, subpoena, writ, petition, or other legal process, is required by law to do anything shall be granted an immediate leave of absence for the period of time required for such employee to complete anything the employee is required to do by reason of any such summons, subpoena, writ, petition, or other legal process and the employee shall retain and accumulate seniority while on such leave of absence. An employee who becomes a member of the Armed Forces of Canada, whether war be declared or not, shall be granted leave of absence while serving with the Armed Forces of Canada and shall retain and accumulate seniority while on such leave of absence.
JURY DUTY/WITNESS PAY. 17.01 Full-time employees who are required to report for jury duty shall be entitled to leave with pay for scheduled work hours lost as a result of such service.

JURY DUTY/WITNESS PAY. 18.01 An employee who has completed his probationary period and who is called to, and reports for, jury duty, pre-jury duty examination required by a court of law, or an employee who is subpoenaed as a witness, shall be paid the difference between jury duty payment or witness payment and his regular straight time pay for each day or partial day spent performing his jury duty, pre-jury examination or as a subpoenaed witness, provided the employee would otherwise have been scheduled to work for the Company and is unable to work because of the above duties. Regular straight time pay as referred to above shall mean regular work rate plus accumulated COLA.
