Use is at guest’s own risk and is conditional upon compliance with the club’s rules & procedures, a copy of which is available at the club reception and on the Websites. At certain times, facilities may become unavailable due to maintenance, adverse weather conditions or other reasons beyond our control. We will attempt to keep all Hotel guests informed of these circumstances however this may not always be possible.

LEISURE. The school environment was structured in such as way as to encourage students to live with integrity in and outside of the classroom. As important as the development of a religious life was, students’ holistic needs were not neglected. This is evident in the school’s extracurricular offerings. A 1946 Saints brochure listed eleven clubs and organizations in which students could participate. The Student Council, Science Club and Pep Squad were some of the more traditional clubs available. Among some of the more unique clubs were the Hi-Y Boys Club and Girls Purity Class, which encouraged students to pursue careers in social services. Modeled after historically black fraternities and sororities, the Mallory Club helped “develop the social phase of the school.” Here students participated in community service activities that targeted the less fortunate. College students had their choice of becoming active on one of the school’s athletic teams, the school’s publishing club, or in one of the school’s many music programs. The Co-Ed Club (founded “to direct the social life of the women of the college”) and the Men’s Club (providing “social activity and an organized intramural sports program for the men students of the college”) offered additional opportunities for socializing.104 Saints students insist that there were ample opportunities to have fun in spite of the list of strict rules and demanding school schedules. 104 "Facts About Saints Junior College." Jerry Pickett says that his parents’ decision to send him to Saints had to do with its conscious selection of “saved teachers.” Attending rival Lexington Ambrose High School was out of the question for Pickett because it would be like “taking money away from the saints.”105 Cleo Anderson expressed a similar sentiment. “My parents were saints so I had to go there more or less,” she reported. Jack Whitehead’s mother decided to send her son to the school after having met the school’s president. She was convinced her son would develop under Mallory’s care. Similarly, according to Neaul Haynes’ biographers, the future bishop’s parents sent him to Saints because they believed he “had a special calling” that could be unearthed with the “kind of discipline that Saints Industrial School offered.”106 Several students were sent to Saints ...
LEISURE. Guests staying in a Hotel, may avail game room, swimming pool throughout the duration of their stay. A condition of using the facilities is that you must comply with the hotel rules and regulations. Charges may apply for use of some facilities, please enquire at the Hotel for further details. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times and may use the facilities until 6.00 p.m., except on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday when they can use the pool until 8.00 p.m. For health and safety reasons children under 16 are not permitted to use the gymnasium and children under 12 are not permitted to use the sauna, spa bath or steam room. At certain times, facilities may become unavailable due to maintenance, adverse weather conditions or other reasons beyond our control. We will attempt to keep all Hotel guests informed of these circumstances however this may not always be possible. If any facility is a significant reason for your choice of Hotel, we would advise you to check directly with the Hotel in advance of arrival.
LEISURE. 28.1 The Contractor will ensure Staff provide support and stimulation to assist the Individual to meet their potential physical, intellectual, emotional and social capacity.
28.2 The Contractor must encourage the Individual to pursue their interests and hobbies and provide facilities to continue and expand these.
28.3 The Contractor must ensure social and leisure Support Plans have been drawn up with the Individual and their family/carers and details cultural requirements, preferred choices, interests, abilities and educational opportunities.
28.4 The Contractor must undertake a risk assessment where activities dictate.
28.5 The Contractor will explain to the Individual any charges for activities, (entrance fees, costs for Staff expenses etc) not included within this Agreement, and detail costs in the Service Users’s Guide.
28.6 Any charges for activities not outlined in the Individual’s Guide must be agreed by the Individual before the activity is undertaken.
28.7 Opportunities shall be made available for the Individual to access community resources.
28.8 If the Individual is able and wishes to, they shall be encouraged and assisted to visit local shops, theatres, public houses, libraries, leisure centres, cinemas and churches etc. Where Staff accompany them on such visits, uniforms will not be worn.

LEISURE. VILLAGE WEST ASSOCIATION may acquire recreational facilities whether or not contiguous to the Condominium property for the enjoyment, recreation and benefit of unit owners. Such recreational facilities may consist of a community hall or auditorium, arts and crafts rooms, card rooms, meeting rooms, woodworking shop, swimming pool, pool building, lakes or ponds, golf courses, shuffleboards, etc., and the fees, costs and expenses of acquiring, maintaining, operating, repairing or replacing any of such facilities and the personal property used in the operation of enjoyment of the same, shall be common expenses. The purchase or acquisition for value of additional recreational facilities with funds of LEISURE VILLAGE WEST ASSOCIATION shall be deemed to be a capital expense and thus require authorization by an affirmative vote 80 percent of, interest of the members representative of the undivided ownership of the Condominium as a whole, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Bylaws.
