Limitation of overtime. (a) Weekly and daily limits: No employer shall require or permit an employee to work overtime for more than-
Limitation of overtime. No employee under sixteen years of age will be employed on overtime. No employee under seventeen years of age will be employed on overtime in any event before 7.00 a.m. or later than 9.00 p.m. on any working day.
Limitation of overtime. It is the policy of the City to keep all overtime usage to a minimum. Overtime payment will be controlled by funds authorized in the approved budget. This policy extends to all varieties of overtime usage including holdover, callback and standby. Prior written authorization of the Department Head must be secured and communicated to the unit member. In an emergency, if it is impossible or impractical to secure advance authorization from the Department Head, the supervisor may authorize paid overtime. Overtime shall be compensated to the nearest one-quarter (1/4) hour. This shall apply to accumulation of all overtime during a work period.
Limitation of overtime. The Company will limit overtime hours of work as far as reasonably possible. Wherever possible the Company will first discuss the matter with the Union if gang overtime is involved, or if overtime is involved for individuals. If overtime is necessary, the Union will encourage employees to work. In the event that the Company requires overtime, all employees involved in the overtime shall be provided with notice to this effect when the Company is first aware of the overtime requirement. Gang Leaders appointed after October 1, 1991 shall work overtime when their departments work overtime.
Limitation of overtime. I An employee who is required to work for any period amounting to twelve (12) hours or more from the time of commencing work, shall be granted a respite and shall be entitled to absent himself/herself from work until he/she has had eight (8) consecutive hours off duty, without loss of pay, for ordinary working time occurring during such absences. II In the cases of emergency as herein defined, the said twelve hours referred to in paragraph I may be exceeded. Emergency in this subclause shall mean periods in which excess cash or bullion, which has been delayed by circumstances beyond the control of the employer, needs to be transported within a limited period of time and where extra labour is not available to carry out the necessary work.
Limitation of overtime. Overtime where the employee is under 17 years of age Where an employee under the age of 17 is required to work overtime, the employee will be provided with safe transport from the workplace to the employee’s residence.
Limitation of overtime a) Except in the case of accident or circumstances over which the Company has no control, an employee shall not work and the Company shall not require an employee to work more than a total of 20 hours overtime in any week exclusive of unpaid intervals allowed for meals, unless agreed to by both the Company and the employee.
Limitation of overtime. 14.1 Subject to the provisions of clause 14.2 and clause 15, an Employee may be required to work for a continuous period amounting to 15 hours, excluding meal breaks, from the time of commencing work.
