Loss of Seniority and Termination of Employment. An employee shall lose all seniority and his/her employment shall be deemed to be terminated if the employee: a) resigns or is discharged for just cause (and the discharge is not reversed through the grievance/arbitration procedure); b) fails to report for work as scheduled at the expiration of an approved leave of absence without satisfactory reason ; c) fails to notify the Employer of his/her intention to return to work from layoff within three (3) business days of being notified to do so by registered mail/courier to the employee’s last address on record with the Employer and fails to report for work within ten (10) business days after the issuance of the notice; d) is absent from scheduled work without a reasonable excuse for three (3) consecutive days without notifying the Employer of such absence and providing a satisfactory reason acceptable to the Employer; e) is laid off for a period in excess of eighteen (18) months; f) uses a leave of absence for a purpose other than that for which it was granted. g) when a casual employee has not been paid for at least six (6) working days in the previous six (6) months or has refused work on six (6) consecutive occasions. h) is absent from work in excess of twenty-four (24) months due to illness, accident or WSIB and the requisite accommodation process has been exhausted.
Loss of Seniority and Termination of Employment. ‌ Shall not apply to Part Time Employees. Rather the following provisions shall apply: Seniority rights shall cease and employment will be terminated for any of the following reasons: (a) Voluntary resignation; (b) Discharge for just cause; (c) Unavailability for work on three (3) consecutive occasions when the Employee is contacted by his/her Supervisor to appear for work unless a reasonable explanation, acceptable to the Employer, is provided by the Employee. Only one (1) occasion will be counted for the purpose of this clause per calendar day, and no occasions will be counted for the purpose of this clause after twenty-four (24) hours have been worked in a week; (d) Absent without leave for any period in excess of five (5) consecutive working days.

Loss of Seniority and Termination of Employment. Seniority will be lost and employment terminated where an employee: (a) resigns or retires; (b) is dismissed and is not reinstated; (c) fails to report to work at the expiration of a leave of absence except where a reason satisfactory to the Employer is provided in advance of the expiration of the leave, or works elsewhere without authorization while on a leave of absence; (d) is recalled and refuses the recall, foregoes recall rights or is recalled and does not return to work within seven (7) days of the notice of recall; (e) is absent from work for more than three (3) consecutive working days without notifying the Employer or providing a reason satisfactory to the Employer for the failure to call; (f) is laid off for a period in excess of eighteen (18) months; (g) if the employee has his or her AGCO licence revoked or suspended for in excess of six (6) months.
