Non-Classroom Assignments. Unit members assigned other than a classroom assignment shall have a comparable work day which shall be assigned by the Principal or Program Administrator, the hours of which may be adjusted to be consistent with carrying out the activities necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the unit members’ position after consultation with the affected unit members.

Non-Classroom Assignments. Teachers not engaged in classroom teaching shall have two (2) fifteen (15) break periods and a lunch period equal to that of a classroom teacher. The break periods and lunch period shall be scheduled at a time mutually acceptable to the teacher and the teacher’s supervisor.
Non-Classroom Assignments. This hourly rate applies to unit members who are offered and who agree to serve in an hourly non-classroom assignment in addition to the regular contract assignments. Non-classroom hourly assignments include, but are not limited to: materials development, curriculum writing, planning and facilitation of professional learning (i.e., Teacher Advisory, WASC) and PAR Council membership. Only unit members with advance approval for such assignments will be paid the hourly rate on Appendix F of the agreement to be paid pro rata in 15 minute increments after the first hour.
Non-Classroom Assignments. 7.12.1 For non-classroom faculty other than counselors, 11-month assignments shall consist of (194 X 6.6 hours/day =) 1280.4 assigned hours per year, up to a maximum of 194 days. 12-month assignments shall consist of (211 X 6.6 hours/day =) 1392.6 assigned hours per year, up to a maximum of 211 days.
7.12.2 For counseling faculty, 11-month assignments shall consist of (194 X 6.0 hours/day =) 1164 assigned hours per year, up to a maximum of 194 days. 12 month assignments shall consist of (211 X 6.0 hours/day =) 1266 assigned hours per year, up to a maximum of 211 days.
7.12.3 Such assignments will cover the period from July 1 to June 30 of each year and will be finalized prior to the preceding May 1. Ten-month non-classroom assignments shall be finalized prior to the preceding May 1st to reflect their work days during the upcoming fall/spring academic calendar year.

Non-Classroom Assignments. Association building representatives shall not be assigned non-classroom supervising of students to any greater degree, on the average, than other staff members. If a building representative is assigned to such duty, the Association may arrange for a replacement for such representative.
